So after waiting a day, the download finally finished and I installed the game.
I haven’t really been this disappointed with a game for quiet sometime I’m sorry to say, but I don’t understand how the hell this took so long to come out. First off, if you played the demo you know what the whole game is like. More enemies are thrown at you later, and you get more weapons, but if you've been following this game, since it's been announced(when was that? Like 10 years ago?) then you've seen everything. I won't spoil it for those who haven't though. Secondly I beat this game on my first play-through in five hours. FIVE HOURS. I don’t know, maybe I’m really good at video games, but you guys tell me if it’s that short for everyone else. The game is very easy and this is because of that whole spirit resurrection thing, you basically just kill some stupid flying bird things and you come back to life. At first this seems cool, but it will become annoying over time. The gunfights pretty much stay the same as you will be fighting those same enemies you encountered in the demo. You will eventual get into a flying type vehicle, which is simple average, it’s not great, but it doesn’t suck. The puzzles are all easy and nearly every single one relies on you going into your spirit form, and pressing a button that your human body can’t get too, and then continue. There are a few occasions where you will have to do something different, and they do get more difficult but it still feels very repetitive. I thought the story was pretty good, it kept me engaged throughout the whole game, and it gets really good near the end. The ending is gay by the way, just going to tell you right now. And you should watch through the credits, they have an addition cut-scene that plays, I won’t tell you what it is, but it will probably piss you off. I probably sound really negative in my little mini-review and it should be noted that the game isn’t awful. It’s a good all around game, but the thing that sucks is you can clearly see the lost potential that Prey had. It has a good story that does conclude, and the game play is fun, and the last hour is really good. So in all I would give it about 8.5 out of 10. I had fun, but wasn't nearly as good as I was hoping. EDIT: lol didn't see your post, yeah it really is like 5 hours. Total time spent was about 5 hours and 20 minutes. So I would guess you have about one more hour. Have you fought the Keeper yet? Jam it back in, in the dark.

I think you have about 1 hour left, maybe 2.
The real problem with the whole come back to life system, is that it makes fights which would normally be very intense, and require thinking, and makes them extremely easy. You’re pretty much invincible. I personally think that it would be better if you had some sort of life system, and when you run out of lives, you get a game over. Near the end, there are some fights that are actually a lot of fun, but the whole system just takes away the intensity. And no, 5 hours even for a FPS is very short. And the puzzles do take some time, but they just all feel the same. It doesn't have a cliffhanger ending, it's just what happens. You'll see pretty soon.. As for multiplayer....well....yeah......the multiplayer in the demo had some neat concepts, and I think it would be awesome if there was a map where you could teleport inside a tiny planet in a box like they did in the SP. Where you could fight in there and see people fight on the outside, it would be really cool. I haven't looked at all the maps yet, so who knows. And just because other shooters haven't been that great, doesn't give this one a excuse. There hasn't been a lot of originally and prey finally looked like it would offer something completely new, it just sucks that it offers something completely new, yet still feels repetitive. btw how do you do that spoiler thing? Oh and the music rocks, I want to get the soundtrack lol. There's nowhere I can't reach.
