[PS2] Final Fantasy XII

Hey, I know on the second level (B2) at "Pharos of Ridorana," when you are attempting to get to Seers, there is supposed to be an "Ultima Blade" somewhere. Does anybody know which part of the room its in?

There was 1 room in the south-west where their was only 2 dragon in it and a chest in the middle. I am not sure if that chest had the "Ultima Blade" in it. I read that you need to equip the "Diamond Armulet." I forgot to do that and opened it and got 1gil . Does anyone know if that is the chest with the "Ultima Blade" in it? If So, is there anyway to make it respawn again?

The problem is all the chest I opened without equiping the "Diamond Armulet." If I leave Pharos and return, will the chest respawn?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Just got the "Ultima Blade." Thanks. Anybody know how to get the "King Behemoth" to come out? I know he is by the Giruvegen Gate.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

So I do not have to do clear both of the lands then? Just the last one then? Right? I read on another MB that you have to clear both. Fafnir was done along time ago. He gave me problem the first couple of time until I got Buubble Belt. Then I just kept ATK him, then Reviving my Characters.

So Far in this game, the only Monsters that gave me trouble was Chuulican (SP) Esper in th WaterWay (because of his Sap), Chaos (In Necrohol because of his magic field where you can not ATK and just use magic), and Fafnir who was a load to kill. Thats about it.

Did anybody actually fight the "LV99 Red Chocobo" in the Ozmone Plane?

I am actually trying to make that sucker appear.

For people interested, he is in the "Ozmone Plain." I had 27Chains combined of Black and Red Chocobos. I kept going around in circles where the black and Red chocobos would appears by the "Jahara." Then when there is none around, leave for the Dagan Flats and return.

!!!WARNING!!!---> Experience Warning . I lost to a freakin Bird . He aint a piece of cake. He uses some kind of move where Rocks fall on your head and taks off 4,500 damaged. So be prepared. He is quick and uses some kind of Choco Comet.

I just faught him 2 min ago and got creamed big time by a freakin bird. (He uses some kind of magic where rocks fall on your head and takes 4,500 damaged. I tried reflect, didn't work. "Libra," like you mentioned doesn't matter. You know how when you press X and tell it to ATK, it shows the name of the monster you can attack, well what it says is "LV99 Red Chocobo."

If you want, I can find him again and take a picture and post it and prove it.

I actually just read about this in my friend Shyvin's official FFXII guide a couple days ago and how to make it appear.

Just a warning in case there are those that want to figure it out for themselves:



"After gaining free use of the Strahl, travel to the Ozmone Plains area and defeat six or more red and black chocobos, then enter or renter the Haulo Green Area. Upon Arrival there is a 1 in 256 chance that the level 99 Red Chocobo will appear. If not, go two zones away to the Dagan Flats and then come back to see if it appears."

I'd check it out myself, but I'm still only in Cerobi Steppe until I can get all of the good items from there so I've yet to get the Strahl, but I assume that since it's from the official guide that it'd be accurate.

Nah, you don't get a chance too because he is quick. That Magic I told you about hits all parties with rocks coming from the sky doing a damage of 4500. Everytime I would revive a character with phoenix down, my other party that revived him would be killed. It was like a continuous circle.

I managed to get a couple hit, but I had to switch to axes b/c my Ultima Sword, Ragnorak and Save the Queen, the LV99 Red Chocobo was doing Parrity. I was furious. Couldn't believe I lost to a dang bird. I got a couple blocks here and there when I switch to shields aswell, but it didn't last.

If there is any way, next time, hopefully, I am using MIST ASAP. I think that is the only way to do it.

Hey Lionking-Cyan, try fighting the LV99 Red Chocobo. He'll give you a run for your money.

Hey does anyone know howe to get Wargod's Band or Hell-Gates Flame? Everytime I try to stell or poach from Leynir(in Nebreus Deadland), I always get Ivalice Caprece and everytime I try to steal or poach from Cerberus in Feywood I always get fire crystal.

Those are two items that require a lot of patience. For the Hell-Gates Flame, just keep trying to steal and then kill them. I once went about an hour with nothing from the Cerberus and then all of the suuden got like 5 in 19 minutes. Don't use poach for those, it's basically wasting time. Keep trying to chain and zone and they will eventually pop up. As for the Wargod's band, it didn't take me all that long. No little tricks though, just have thief cuff's and steal before you kill them so you will double your chances.

I just defeated Hell Wyrm..dude was way too easy but took forever to knock his big but down.

By the way, how do you get to Yiazmat??? Do you have to complete the entire hunt because the only one I have left is "Behemoth King."

Lilgreekkid, i don't think it took very much, as when i moved to the next area, and then returned, mobs didn't actually respawn there. Actually just some strange mandragoras spawned under a srhine (no rare though), and they were 6 lvl 70, each one could kill me with 2 hits. So, if you meet them, cast scathe with 3 characters on them before approaching.
So, in orther to clear each area, i would first move in the circonference, and then i moved to the center. I disabled any useless gambit, and only activated the most useful one (hastega too), and i did it pretty fast.

where did you fight the mandragoras at??? The only things I am able to fight are the snakes, mantis, those Humbaba looking monster and 1 Dinosaur thats in the center near the gate of Gigas.

Lazlow.....When you fight him and his dog a second time, its a little harder. When you fight them a second time, you better know how to cure "Disabled," because he uses those alot.

hey guys, just defeated "King Behemoth." Wasn't really that bad. Been Beating every hunt with Vaan, Basche and Beltheir. All 3 are up to LV 78. The girls LV13-15. Finally found that Eschulan (SP) Shield that does 90 Evade and also does some kind of Sap, poison, etc to you when you equip. (AND NO I DID NOT EQUP THIS TO FIND THIS OUT ). This shield should come in handy for when I find that LV99 Red Chocobo again. Anyone know where to find the Ribbon?

By the way, what is the best way to attack Yiazmat? You guys say Holy doesn't work, so I got to avoid that. I have Ragnorak, Save the Queen, and Ultima Blade. Party LV, like I mention above is LV78 for the 3 guys.

Hey are guys sure, you can get the yagyu darkblade from Bombshell in the Lushu (Sp) Mines? I faught that thing 5 times and the only things I am getting is "High Arcana" and "Pile of Bomb Shells."

By the way, on Youtube someone has a video that shows how to beat Yiazmat in 2 hours, if anybody interested.

Metal Sphere---OK thanks. I am going back now to fight him. Quick question though. I read in Pharos or Ridorana on B3 North-West, there is a ribbon in a chest. Do I have to equip the "Diamond Amulet" to get it?

Before you head up to the Bahamute, did you beat Omega in Giruvegan? Or the LV99 Red Chocobo in the Ozmone plane? For me to actually beat the game, I need to clear all the hunts and the bosses. Don't know about you though.

But you should try Omega next. Or the LV99 Red Chocobo.
!!!WARNING!!!If you going to fight the LV99 Red Chocobo, hed does 4500 damage to all parties with his magic and is quick. So be prepared.

SCRATCH AND SNIFF-----Those you mention are easy. You don't need to be High Level for that. High LV comes in handy when you fight Yiazmat, Omega, Zodiarc and Hell Wyrm. To me those 4 only.

OMEGA XII Review "Before plan to face this boss, you must clear all Mob Hunt mission and collect
all Esper. Then go to Crystal Grande upper layer, please reference to this map,

Since you've went through this map on the road to Ultima Esper fight, you
should unseal some of the gate in Map 3. If you've left the Crystal Grande, all
'1st' gate will be sealed, so you need to unseal the gates if required.

Now you need to unseal Gate Taurus 1st to reach the arena. Just get back to
the Save Crystal at Map 4 through the teleport XX...

- Push the swtich for Gate Aquarius.
- Return to Map 3 through the teleport XVIII
- Unseal the Gate Aquarius 1st (base on how you unseal the gate when you're
going to Ultima Esper fight, just make sure to unseal Gate Virgo and Libra
2nd.)
- Now push the switch for Gate Capricorn, then unseal Gate Capricorn 2nd.
- Back to switch for Gate Taurus and push it, rush to Gate Taurus 1st and
unseal it.
- Take XXI to the arena.

Omega Mk.XII's attack style is nothing special, the difficulty is the damage
amount of Omega, each hit might kill one of your characters, with its higher
speed, this boss can kill your team within a minute. Recommend cast Reverse
and Decoy on one character for the entire battle, so Omega will keep 'healing'
one of your character for the entire battle.

Reverse is to turn over the damage and healing amount, Decoy is provoke enemy
focus to attack one target, so if the character has both these spells' effect,
Omega will only attack this character, same time its damage will heal that
character. Make sure set two other characters' Gambit to keep recasting Reverse
and Decoy when they're gone, also keep Haste on the two other character for the
faster time to done casting spells, more easier, equip Hermes Sandals for the
character who's position to cast Reverse or Decoy. Another thing is avoid to
use any elemant attack on this boss. When Omega's HP leave around 20%, its
defence and attack power will raise up, but if you can keep with the tactic
above, it doesn't become a problem.

By the way LV99 Red Chocobo is very difficult ro spawn try 1/256 chances in the Ozmone Plane. You got to kill over 5 Red and 5 Blacks Chocobo in Chains. You got to keep on coming back and forth, entering and rentering till it appears. If you look a few pages back you will see a picture of him.

LAZLOW, I think there is a switch that takes off the shield and you have a certain amount of time to get back and go through it.

METAL SPHERE, I went to the 2nd floor B2F, and didn't find the Loxillid. I went through each room twice. The only thing I found was a room where 2 Dragon Liche are on 1 side of that room.
