[PC] Albatross18 (Pangya)

This game reminds me of ASDF except with Golf.

I caved in and spent the 9.95 USD to have enough cookies (cash shop points) to buy one of the characters in a cash shop set.



Only in games can you golf in heels.

So I went and spent another 9.95 for a Hat and two items. Pang Mastery (all earned Pang is doubled) and some Aquarius Ball. So I'm messin around with Saka and Juan, saying how I wish I had a PangYa, well I got my wish.



Which followed with one supar win on that hole.

Last 9.95 I dropped for better golf clubs and some glasses. Cecilia now has everything she could possibly use for maximum GOOD stats (which is good because I don't want to drop another 10 for stuff). Yeah I'm addicted to this game ._.

I'm getting slightly better, after the second or so day of playing this thing. I'm starting to keep tracks of my Eagles.

So far I've gotten 4 more (for a grand total of five Eagles)






Two were on the exact same hole, but different times through (as noted by the glasses on the other eagle).

Tournament play is a great way to earn Pang if you are good at getting Eagles / Birdies, or have a Phoenix Ball. If you come in first place you'll get a ton of experience, but with most of the tournaments out there it's kind of hard unless you get in a rookie game.

Tournament mode is also the only way to have more than four players playing. You need a minimum of four, and can have up to thirty playing at the same time. The only thing is you are limited by time, and might have to wait on players if you finish early.

Aside from a few frustrating courses and some bugs, this is a very good golf game. I'm looking forward to Season 2 of Pangya, based on screenshots and videos of how fluid things work.

The only unbalancedness so far are the golf clubs, that is because the two Pang golf clubs haven't been released yet (but they blow the cookie versions out of the water).

Some cookie items are better than the normal pang items by only one stat, but aside from the few that are it's mostly just a looks thing or for the extremists who demand 30 control instead of 29.

This Thursday a new character is coming out, for those who care about updates.



Her name is Kooh, she costs 29000 Pang (not sure about the cookie item set prices) and her base stats are:
PWR - 10
CTR - 11
ACC - 4
SPN - 3
CRV - 1

With the power of Cecilia and the control of Scout/Hana, this opens some possibilities on how to develop her.

Today's update brings us exclusive items that cost cookies, for those of us who dump our life savings into this game, or something.

Every player basically gets some army camo gear. A top, bottom, and hat.




The image is misleading, these items are on sale (10% off) for one week, as stated, just ending June 1st and not July. We speculate the items will stop being sold on July 1st though.

As far as stats go, they are your basic +1 power +2 slot (top), +1 control +3 slot (bottom), +1 spin +1 slot (hat) type gears.

There are various other things going on in season 3, aside from a name change to Pangya REVOLUTION, you can also combine items and come out with completely different items. They are also adding mascots which will probably add on to the bonuses you already get from caddies.

There are also scratch cards which give you items, but they might be cookie cost, since some of the items you get are cookie priced.

Luckily I am only on campus for 4 hours at the most, and at a time when everyone is usually in class or sleeping, so it's no big deal to me.

Yeah I don't know how it happened either, although I didn't get quite as much pang as I expected to get.

My laptop randomly craps out on me now, probably because I have too many tasks running in the background while I play. Or maybe it's due to having no real graphics card (just some intel onboard stuff) and too much going on in Pangya means death. It's not that much of a bother, I just liked having the portability of taking my game anywhere around the house with me incase I got called to go elsewhere.

Disappointed that Arin didn't get a cookie set, and I hope that she at least gets one on Thursday when they do the updates. Although it would have been nice to see her get a swimsuit and not be the odd player out, I guess there is always next year.

The salary is the required monthly pang upkeep for them.

The initial payment (aka the huge one) covers the first month for you (yes time will go by even if you aren't using them, it's real time ) then after that you can choose to pay the salary or not. If you don't they go on vacation (more like run away from you) until you decide to cough up their salary then they are yours again for another month.

The salary payment is optional so it is not like your caddies will sap away at your income for the rest of eternity or anything.

Anyway, wow the week sure blazes by fast, eh? Thursday is already coming up which means update week, and word on the street (and on MySpace Insider) is that this week's update is none other than West Wiz, the "holy crap I can't believe it's so easy" version of Wiz Wiz.

There will probably be clothing updates for whoever hasn't gotten any clothes recently (Hana comes to mind)

Candy is per hole and not per game so that's kind of sux @ the 5 USD price tag on those suckers.

Then again, 3 first place wins @ 4P 18H games will probably justify that price tag.
