Tales of Eternia is also the most challenging "Tales of" game ever created, since some of the enemies and bosses can be really, really cheap. The optional bosses are also among the toughest in the entire "Tales of" series. It is possibly the best (opinions will differ) game out of the series we've had released stateside (referring to the PSX release in the states under the name of Tales of Destiny II by the way). It's really not cool that the best RPG on PSP right now will not see a release in the states. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Generation of Chaos isn't THAT BAD >_______>
You just have to have a ton of patience. Like, the size of the universe or something because the game can be very very frustrating. Or I guess being a crazy S-RPG nut would help too. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I spent like 40 minutes trying to decide what card to import from Ac!d before I even started Ac!d squared
![]() Started with 1371 points (1/100th of my total points from Ac!d) and Fortune card, which I then used to upgrade during the first intermission into Fortune+ Everyone says Big Boss is better to bring over but I dunno, points aren't that hard to get honestly. Spoiler:
Playing in Solid Eye mode kind of gets weird after a while. I'm afraid I'd get addicted to it because it's cool. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Yeah the US version requires 2.60
If you know what you're doing though it will run just fine on 1.50. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Speaking of the Solid Eye movies...
Spoiler:
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Whatever things are running at right now is probably the best they will end up being for quite some time.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Anyone know if Blade Dancer or Legend of Heroes 2 are worth picking up? I already know that LoH2 will have the same piss poor translation as LoH did simply because the translators don't seem to give a damn (and the game's story will probably move at the same speed that LoH's did too).
I've been hearing nothing but negativity about Blade Dancer, it seems that having your weapons break during battle and the lack of a pause button angers people or something like that. The game also becomes stupidly easy after the halfway point apparently, which seems to turn off a lot of people. How ya doing, buddy? |
I already have VP:Lenneth, I'm just looking for another RPG to play once in a while.
Are the load times in Ys really as bad as everyone makes them out to be? Maybe a little mindless button mashering with good ol' Adol will pass the time once in a while. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
The lag is only when switching maps (and leveling up) right? If so then I guess it's not THAT bad, although it might be bothersome. I bought Astonishia Story a while back and that thing had load times up the wazoo. 5 second load time to enter a battle, 5 second load time to load the battle, 5 second load time to play a sound in the battle, 5 second load time to load the move that you are going to do in the battle, 5 second load time after battle. 5 second load time between maps.
Okay so it really isn't 5 seconds all the time, but it can get up there. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Well there's a difference if the load time is just between maps, instead of having to load for every single thing.
Maybe I just got a bad copy, who knows. Although I didn't mean to come off as if the load times annoyed the shit out of me, I managed to enjoy AS even with it's need to load every few seconds, so I probably would enjoy Ys too. I already have KoP and Daxter, so yeah I'm starting to run out of things to get :P There's nowhere I can't reach.

Aren't all of those features already present in the US version of the game? Or were you talking about importing? How ya doing, buddy? |
So the US gets the exclusives first, then Japan gets them with reduced load times.
Sounds like the usual business to me. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
33% Lighter - Doesn't really matter to me because I'm not carrying this thing around in my hand most of the time, I guess it would be helpful for playing it.
19% Slimmer - I didn't really notice the difference >_> Improved Battery Life - I rarely play away from the charger if it's a game that requires a long period of time, and my battery life is good enough as it is. Maybe if I was putting the game on maximum brightness... New and Improved UMD Drive for faster loading of games and zero lag - I'll believe it when I see it, but lol this is pointless for homebrew users anyway. TV Output - Doesn't appeal to me... The features are nice, I'm not going to lie. However I don't think they warrant the purchase of another PSP; it would be nice for someone who didn't have one and was thinking about getting one. Wonder how long until that gets hacked. I was speaking idiomatically. |
I wish they would give an estimate as to how much the battery life is extended.
If it's like 1 more hour or something that's lame. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Hum, if the TV-Out uses the Microphone Jack does that mean they will have to create a new Headset now?
Since isn't the Microphone Jack right smack dab next to the Headphone (as illustrated by the little picture on the PSP itself) or are we talking about a usb type thing here? FELIPE NO |
