I saw it last night and came away satisfied. It was as I imagined it to be, that blend of campiness and serious thriller (with much more of the former).
That being said, the experience was better than the movie. The audinece in my theater was exactly like Shin described. We cheered for Sam Jackson, the snakes and clapped for those moments when
And like Shin's audience, we all gave a standing ovation when Sam Jackson when Sam Jackson uttered his most famous line. We also cheered for Keenan Thompson as well, but no Goodburger chant. I did however yell out "where's Kel?" There were some other great zingers being thrown out, too. When the couple were having sex in the bathroom and breasts were shown some guy yelled out "Hey, titties." Some other guy said "use the Force" when Jackson was trying to repair the air conditioners.
I don't think I'll ever have a movie experience quite like this again. Everyone there knew what this movie was about and just didn't care and had a good time. I don't even think that'll be possible if you want to see it this weekend. All the enthusiasts saw it Thursday.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
