24 Season 6 Anticipation Thread

I know that this is the Season 6 anticipation thread, but it's 24 based. Just finished watching Season 5. Overall I thought this season was superb. The first episode was absolutely brilliant and the show never really let up from there.

The death toll this season was immense and the people that died were favourites of mine. Edgar, Tony and Palmer were all in my top 5 and have now been killed. The death of Palmer was perhaps the most shocking death in TV ever that I've seen. followed by the death of Michelle and near death of Tony, it made for a completely mind blowing opening ten minutes to Seaosn 5. Not only was he an incredibly popular character, he was the moral compass for the show, I think. You have Jack who's willing to do anything to get his target and Palmer (at least when he was in office) was the one that called Jack in on some of his actions.
Tony was, without a doubt, my favourite character. He was just a bad-ass and while not as big a bad-ass as Jack, was still capable of opening a can of whoop-ass on anyone that he wanted to. I must confess, I was gutted the way in which he died though. Being stabbed with a needle is pretty pathetic and Tony didn't deserve that. Chapelle went out better than he did.
Edgar's death was just sad as fuck. He was an insanely loveable character and I was gutted when he died. Him and Chloe were sooooo cute and I really wanted to see them hook up. I just hope that whoever they get to replace him is just as good (it'll most likely be Milo or Chloe's ex hubbie and he seemed pretty cool).

While this season got rid of a fair few of my favourite characters, I did get some new ones. Number one being Aaron Pierce, a bona fide legend. That speech that he gives to Logan, even though he's had the shit kicked out of him was awesome, as was his practcal diving out of a burning car to shoot two terrorists. That man is cool as fuck. Also, his chemistry with Martha was brilliant and in Season 6, I can see them as having hooked up, seeing as how Martha should have divorced Logan by now.

Those last five minutes in the finale were also superb. As soon as I saw those Chinese I just shouted out "Herro Jack Bauer! Five dorra'!" and then calmed down a bit. Jack's gonna be veeeery different on Day Six, that's for sure.
