How much did it cost your parents to raise you?
I'm astonished that I'm worth 150000 dollars to my parents. I just calculated how much money they needed to raise me till 20 years old. You can buy a house with that.
Here goes: Food & drink: 7 euro/day -> 47040 euro/20 years Fuels: 3 euro/day -> 20160 euro/20 years Clothing: -baby pamper: 50 euro/month -> 1800 euro/3 years -regular clothing: 240 euro/year -> 4800 euro/20 years -bed: 50 euro -uniform: 40 euro Electricity: 30 euro/month -> 7200 euro/20 years Water: 5 euro/month -> 1200 euro/20 years Babysit: 25 euro/day (way too much) -> 36000 euro/6 years Holiday: 500 euro/year -> 10000 euro/20 years Piano: 30 euro/week -> 14400 euro/10 years Education things: 100 euro/year -> 1500 euro/15 years Piano: 2500 euro laptop: 1000 euro University: 400 euro/year -> 2000 euro/5years Housing at the university: 18000 euro/5 years Car: 15000 euro Toys: 100 euro/Year -> 2000 euro/20 years Dental plan: 3000 euros Glasses: 1400 euros Lessons in private: 480 euros Total - Child money = 165570 euros Minus taxes = 150000 euros I'm seriously thinking, wow! How about you people? Seems like food, car fuel, babysit and piano lessons are the most expensive. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Euro and dollar. It's almost the same. Just add some dollars to those numbers and you've got it. But indeed, the living standards of each country is different. Like, I suspect university costs much more in America.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
36000 dollar a year!!! Crazy!
But America is crazy, I hear that nurses in America get paid more than engineers here in Belgium... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
