DVI, Wii and LCDs, OH MY!

Okay, so I got my Christmas present early but bless her heart, my mother built up all that money and brought me a 24-inch screen without knowing the specs (and getting a screen 2 inches bigger than my brother ^___^!). Even with the random buy, she managed to get half decent LCD screen.

So the screen is Acer (a half-decent ACER screen? Why I'll be damned!) and the link to it and information is here. What my thread is about though is hooking up the Wii to the LCD screen. Is it possible?

In the back, there is a DVI port, and a VGA port. At the moment, my Wii runs on composite cables, but if I were to get component cables, along with some converter (which I've seen, but I think they were only for output) would I be able to play it?

I think this question has been asked before, but I guess with different screens comes different solutions. So, is it possible to have a component connection with this Acer Screen?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

But what about the DVI-I (Dual Link) port? I'm fine with the VGA to component cable and can find it readily where I live, but would my screen work with a DVI-component converter, such as this?

Oh, and is my screen able to take anything (provided I have the right cables and converters), such as a DVD player and other gaming consoles?

Thanks, TheReverend!

THIRD EDIT: Come to think of it, would there be a quality difference if I were to connect it with VGA rather than DVI? Or is it too small to notice?

There's nowhere I can't reach.
