[DS] Nintendo DS/Lite discussion thread

The perfect solution for people's mums who somehow think that their younger child owns it even though their older one bought it with her cold, hard-earned cash (my girlfriend's mum *cough*).

Well, I got the original one and my girlfriend will get a DS Lite. "Whatever is mine is hers as well," so technically I'll be getting a DS Lite as well.

Brightness of Screens? The Normal DS was good enough. It was playable. Sharpness of the graphics and views? Nice. Bigger stylus? I know who's DS I'll be playing with for Osu! Tatakae! Quendan. Size? Smaller... It might just fit in my pocket now...

As for the asthetics, it's awesomeness. However, all you need to do with the original DS is to put a skin on it and it'll look good. So PLZ Nintendo, Apple White skins for the original DS PLZ??

Jam it back in, in the dark.

For the sake of bringing this thread back, someone with Lite answer this question: If you don't have a DS would it be worth the extra $$ to get the Lite, or should I go cheaper with the original DS?

Hey, people can hate the Lite if they want. Personally I see no point to the Lite if there's no REAL change to the control interface (touching two places at once, for example).

I see no point to the Lite, but I'm a sucker for that glossy look. Wait till Enamel Blue comes out oh baby!

With the new influx of DS games having been announced during the conference, I'm left wondering how I'm gonna pay for a new DS lite plus all of the games that I'm excited about.

Wow, the announcement of the Australian DS Lite date seems like yesterday. Unfortunately for me, that means my hunger cost me my DS Lite -___-'' (so poor)

In other news... Over here in Melbourne Australia, Nintendo is providing messages to people walking around in Melbourne Central, while letting them play Brain Training on DS Lites!!! It was great to see people other than gamers sitting down and having a shot at it.

Oh and the messagers were alright looking too ^_^.

"Yes, but we're gonna sell them tomorrow."
"Oh cool, can I test out that DS Lite your carrying?"
"Where? What do you mean?"

"Um... yeh. That's the DS Lite."

Zero chance, SOLDIER. I'm not sure about the specifics, but I think in Japan the franchises that appear on that game are from the JUMP shonen company, whereas in America they have been licensed to different anime distributors, making it impossible for Jump to be released anywhere else in Japan.

It's like putting Master Chief and Samus in something like Super Console Bros. Brawl. Nope. Microsoft and Nintendo (no matter how much they deny it) are in competition with each other.

Back on topic, the DS Lite ain't being properly advertised here. I doubt anybody knows it's out yet -_-'
