Anyays I keep hearing about this bad guy Hunter that Mont Blanc is so worried about, which is obviously the dude: . When does he show up?

Also, I'm going to do The Great Cockatrice Escape quest now. Is it hard?
Hey Spat,
Ba'Gamnan is the head-hunters name. He's that green bangaa that tried to ambush your party back in the Lhusu mines when you first went there (he's a sworn enemy to Balthier which you know already).
Spoiler:
There's going to be a post for a level 5 creature named Belito by Montblanc. It's a fake hunt - Mongrid (the GOOD bangaa) will step out of the clan hall and be waiting for you whenever you decide to go to the Nam-Yensa Sandsea. Go to the Yellow Sands and enter the Zertinan Caverns. Go northeast (up and right) and you'll come out of the Zertinan Caverns to a dead end in the Nam-Yensa Sandsea Withering Shores. Thats when the fight takes place. You'll have Mongrid with you, but he won't provide much help. You'll also be facing Ba'Gamnan and 3 of his bangaa friends, so it's probably best you have your characters at Lvl 45+ and Protected, Shelled, Hasted, Regenerated, Bravery, and Bubbled before you walk to the end.
I lost the first time because I didn't expect it, so I reset and played through the storyline. Got Reddas as a guest after I made it through the Great Crystal, so it became a 5v4 battle. Much easier.

The Great Cockatrice escape - its not that hard. You just have to go find em and retrieve them.
Spoiler:
One cockatrice is in the northern part of Rabanastre square. You need to catch him by walking up to it when it walks/runs around. This cockatrice will NOT return to Giza until you find another cockatrice, which is in Euryt Village (Fran's sister has it). Feed that cockatrice some shiny objects located throughout the village (about 10 of them) and that one will go back to Giza. Then the Rabanastre one will go after you talk to it again.
Next, teleport to the Dalmasca Estersands, where you'll find another cockatrice hiding from the small orange wolf at the South Bank. You have to get that cockatrice to see Torri - she's at the North Bank. When you get the ferry boat going you'll need to get the boy and the wolf in the ferry first, then get the cockatrice over after that. It's EZ.
There's also another cockatrice in the chocobo stable at Balfonheim Port. Talk to one of the moogles walking around, and he'll say he doesn't have enough gil to get a chocobo from Gurdy. Talk to Gurdy, and he should lend the cockatrice to the cheap moogle, in which he'll take off. A short time later, that moogle will return to Balfonheim port, saying that the chocobo (well, he thought it was one of those) just ran off on him. It returned to Giza.

The rest of the cockatrices, I'm unsure about. Might be one in Archades somewhere but haven't bothered to look. Any other questions, let me know. Happy Trails!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Oh uh, I'm sorry. Don't mean to spoil it but I'd rather have him know what to do BEFOREHAND rather than get his ass kicked by those bangaas and have to reset after that long walk through the area.

Adrammalech wasn't hard. First esper I obtained that was sidequest-based. Just pounded away at him before he had the chance to cast his most powerful attack.
The 2 espers I'm having trouble with are Chaos and Queklain. I need some anti-silence boots vs Chaos, and a ribbon would help vs Queklain.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Neither is even that hard, though I'd give the nod to Cuchulainn in terms of being able to hand you your ass if you're not careful. Chaos' battle is slow because magic in this game is extraordinarily weak and slow, and Aeroja will hit you hard and confuse you if you're not prepared for it.

Ole Cuchulainn has that nasty field effect, and disabling capabilities that'll screw you over if let him. Neither is all that hard, but make sure you defeat their companions first. Throw on Confuse immune items (Bowline-sash) when Chaos readying Aeroja, and Disable immune items (Blackbelt, IIRC) to prevent being disabled by Cuchulainn. I never got to see him use his special, and I forgot what attack disables you. I believe it's Pulsar Wave.
Ya, about Chaos - I probably won't fight him until I get my hands on Flare, Scourge and Scathe spells (non-elemental damage). I think I read somewhere that Chaos is vulnerable to only one element, but it changes periodically? Well, to add to the harsh battle, I want to begin the fight by stealing a few Feystones from the elementals surrounding him before I attack them. I could use those Feystones to trade in for High Arcana.

Oh, and Metal, Cuchulainn is the esper located in the
Spoiler:
Garamsmythe Waterway, right? Thought its name was Queklain... the one where you light the 2 middle stones and proceed down directly south of the waterway control suite.
Sounds like we're talking the same esper - just clear it up for me.

Last thing, is your PS2 screwed up? You mentioned it before, that it croaked. Tell me the details of its error and I could help you out. If its having trouble reading your discs I can offer you the step-to-step solution in fixing it yourself.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

OK no problem. My friend had a problem with the laser reads. Found out how to do it, except that in the process of cleaning the laser, the DAMN LASER RIBBON FELL OUT! It's that little orange strip that attaches from the back of the hard drive to the laser itself. Gawd, I've had the thing for a month now and I don't have the mini-equipment to fit the strip back into place.

This PS2 brand of his, it's an old one. Probably the first brand of PS2s that came out, and that orange ribbon has to be TWISTED before connecting at both ports. If this piece ever falls out of place on your PS2, may God help you in finding a way to put it back in. Don't EVER lift the PS2 hard drive up to look under it, or some strips will fall out and you'll have to dismantle it further to have a chance of putting them back in.

Anyway, ok, looks like Dr. Uzuki sent me a complaint as well, so I'll edit my posts. Sorry about it, I'm still a newbie to this forum.

Spoiler:
Yay, I just spoiled myself LOL

Ya, that mid-game lull is worth complaining about.
In FFX, it didn't take excessive hours to obtain the Celestial Weapons. You just needed to find the weapon itself and the crest somewhere in Spira. The sigils were obtained by a variety of mini games (dodging bolts, blitzball, chocobo racing, etc.). Blitzball is by far the best side-game made in any FF in my opinion - I'm a sports-stats freak, so thats probably the cause.

FFXII is just way too long to endure sometimes. My stats:
140+ hours played
Vaan = Lvl 63 (Save the Queen, Defender)
Balthier = Lvl 59 (Fomalhaut + Silent Shot)
Fran = Lvl 59 (Perseus Bow + Ice Arrows)
Basch = Lvl 52 (Holy Lance, Gungnir, Golden Axe)
Ashe = Lvl 48 (Deathbringer)
Penelo = Lvl 52 (Deathbringer)

I just can't believe how hard and irritating it is to acquire the rare loot needed to unlock the better weapons.
Spoiler:
It took me about 3 hours last night to re-acquire 2 Broken Spears from skull warriors in the Tomb of Raithwall in order to get the Gungnir. It took me about another 2 hours today to get 3 Beastlord Horns for the Sagittarius Bow. I also beat Exodus, and now only ONE ash wyrm spawns at his place on the Empyrean Seat - need to get 3 moon rings from that damn thing

Oh yeah, I'm only at the 2nd Ascent to the Pharaos Lighthouse, so there's no chance I'll be able to complete the game with advanced weapons in under 200 hours. Obtaining rare loot on a 1/100 random chance from creature drops is... like I said ... so irritating. Thiefs Cuffs is only good in the beginning when you need to sell good loot for extra gil. Mid to late game, they're useless.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Metal, thanks anyway, but I already have the Beastlord Horns. I had to keep killing Humbabaas in the Mos. Highwaste to get them, and it took an extension of time.
Didn't know where the Giruvegan Ash Wyrms were, but I plan to get to the Upper Great Crystal sometime later because I think thats where the Zodiac Escutcheon shield is as well - but thanks for the heads up.

However, I'm not sure where exactly to find Soul Powders. I've got it noted that a creature in the Henne Mines Special Charter Shaft has em?

The big mistake I made in this game was that I sold ALL of my loot I got, up until the storyline progressed to around the opening of Cerobbi Steppe. Had no idea which loot should have been kept - I just sold the crap loot and rare loot I got from the first 30 marks for the gil. New weapons and armor kept arriving at the new areas I made it to, so I needed the money.
Now I remember, 'damn I should have kept that adamantite piece, and all the snake skins from the Giza snakes earlier in the game - doh!'

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

OIC, is it really worth a quarter million quid? And yes, that final shit with Ultimecia and her nether regions down below which is the FINAL FINAL FINAL boss of FFVIII. WTF is that.
YES SPAT, IT IS WORTH IT! Without the Jar, you'll never get the Arcana. And without that ... theres no chance of getting the best weapon in game.

Thanks for the input Rock. I didn't think the game kept tabs on what loot you sold earlier. Heard in a GameSpot forum that once you unlock a new Bazaar good, the loot system is reset to nothing. Guess that was false.

K, I've been on this forum for about 4+ hours now. I'm goin to bed - Cyas!

Wow, I misssed alot of posts.
To start it off, I believe that Vanish/Vanishga was never debugged before release of the game. I'm guessing that it was supposed to be used for terrain that you want to run through without encouraging any battles from the creatures that NOW have no chance in hell in doing any damage to your party. You could still use chocobos for this, but if you hope to save gil, then I figure this spell was supposed to be the alternative measure in getting through places untouched and unstirred. We must give it up - ITS USELESS.

The FFX sidequests to obtain the sigils for the Celestial Weapons were much more fun and served a bigger variety of mini-gaming than does FFXII.
-Dodging 200 lightning bolts made you keep your awareness and senses up. I mean afterall, if you want Lulu's ultimate weapon to be that damn good, you MUST endure it and keep focused for that long. Don't complain about it.
-The chocobo racing was frustrating at times, but it only took me about 8 tries to get under 0.0. I got the hang of it.
-I could NOT have found all of the runaway cactuars if it wasn't for a guide, but it was cute, and the Stop-N-Go games gave me a sweat.
-Blitzball has to be the greatest sidequest they ever made, since nothing else in the FF games comes closer to sports. I appreciate the fact that even an RPG game can have sports involved.
-Capturing 10 creatures per area may take more time, but its very useful in helping your characters level up some more, and obtain the rare items needed to customize your armor for deathproof, stoneproof, silenceproof, beserkproof, poisonproof, etc. You'd have a hard time dealing with another sidequest: Omega Ruins, if it wasn't for this.

In my view, FFXII serves no sidequest variety. You just hunt down a specific rare creature, whereas throughout the game you're just killing creatures/bosses as-is. You get a piece of rare loot after returning to the petitioner of the hunt, BUT YOU NEED A WHOLE SHITLOAD MORE pieces for anything else to unlock.

OK, with these views set aside, heres a note of what I did last night:

-I teleported to the Nabreus Deadlands (Lifeless Strand) and got about 6 Wargod's Bands from Leynir drops. It was rather easy since they respawned as I kept going back and forth to it's endpoints.

-Went to the Necrohols of Nabudis. I acquired 2 Souls of Thalmasa after killing 6 Oversouls. After killing the 6th Oversoul, I was like WTF!!!!! This Lvl 48 Darkhare called Helvinek spawned right behind me. A rare game that had 99,999 HP! Scared the shit out of me for a sec, but I killed it within a minute or two. No problems.

-OK HERES THE SHITKICKER!. I returned out to Nab. Deadlands: Rise of the Fallen Lord area. My characters engage 3 Baknamys, while Penelo runs off to the right side of the area to attack a Shield Wyrm. I'm like "WTF Dumb Bitch!", HOWEVER, she killed the wyrm in one hit due to the Deathbringer she had equipped. "Ah Cool!" So anyway, she runs back to Bash, Ashe, and Reddas who are having no problem killing off one of the Baknamys. Then I watch the other 2 Baknamys run off towards where the wyrm died. .....huh?......what the hell......YOU LITTLE SHITS!!!!!!!!
APPARENTLY, THEY RAN TO GET THE LOOT THAT THE WYRM DROPPED, and sure enough, they STOLE it! I couldn't believe it, afterall, it could have been a piece of RING WYRM LIVER anyway! I had Ashe summon Adrammelech to finish them off and gathered the storm crystals they dropped... shit loot ><.

-Returned to Phon Coast, traded loot in for a High Arcana, Empyreal Soul, and a Spica with Windslicer shot. Teleported back to Rabanastre and went to the Giza Plains during the dry. I CANNOT find any more Wildsnakes to get snake skin (where to get more Snake Skin? Let me know).

-Teleported to Jahara, and ran back and forth to the Ozmone Plains to wait for the cloudy weather to hit. Duirng cloudy ONLY, the Sylphi Entite runs in the middle of the Haulo Green area. I stole (with Thief's Cuffs)3 different times from it, only to get 3 Wind Stones and 2 Feystones. After killing it 3 times, it only gave me 3 Feystones. I reset the game each time of course, cause I want that damn Sylphi Halcyon. No luck whatsoever.

-Telported to Giruvega, and retreated for the Feywood. Picked up some Serpent Eyes, Blood Whool, one Hell Gate's Flame, Vampyr Fangs (for the Artemis arrows), and some other crap loot. Saved there and that was it.

I'm gonna go back to the Pharaos lighthouse 2nd Ascent since alot of rare loot is there. If you've read this, GOD BLESS YOU X 10! Oh, Happy New Year!

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

What I'm mad about are the crappy designs for the Zodiac Spear and Zodiac Eschutheon. I mean the Z. Spear looks almost exactly as the normal spear and the Z. Eschutheon looks like a regular Eschutheon.

For some of the most rarest equipment in the game, why give them such bland designs? Most of the time, I use the Dragon Whisker cause that Z.Spear looks like shit. My party should have appealing equipment that resembles the shitload of work they've gone through to earn it.
This is bullshit. Best weapons and armor need to be GLOWING or have some really kick-ass artwork on them. Can't agree with you more. Guessing the graphic designers were too pooped-out to think about new artwork design for those pieces.
They should have re-structured the graphics, imaging, and artwork from the Cadabolg, the Godhand, and the Spirit Lance from FFX, if they didn't want to try anything new from scratch.

PHOOOOOOEY!

So I just went for the Diabolos in the Lhusu Mines and basically got schooled. I wasn't ready for all the status effects plus taking out my guys in 2-3 hits. I had him basically down to nothing, but had to run because he still had a paling against physical attacks and I was almost out of MP in all my living characters. It's the first time I've been that close to death in a long time.

Liking the Gilgamesh stuff, though - can't wait to get to the second part of that battle. Almost forgot to pick up the Genji Gloves. =o
Diabolos was that rough? Hrmm... When I met up with Diabolos myself, I casted Protectga, Shellga, Bravery, Bubble (my guys are all auto-hasted). Oh yeah, Vaan had Decoy on him too, while I Exposed Diabolos. It wasn't that bad, but as far as I remember, my characters were like Lvl 53+. Reddas helped as well.

I got a problem though. When I faced Gilgamesh the first time on the bridge, I didn't STEAL! I was too concentrated on keeping everyone alive - so does that mean I'm SOL for Genji equipment, or is there a chance of stealing it multiple times from him during the 2nd fight?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

According to GameFAQs, the "Ithuno" mob has it to be stolen. Appears as though it's a silver-colored rare game mimic-type monster. Found the info here. Just search for Deathbringer.

Got the three medallions, got Cúchulainn, and levelled my guys to about 62 average this morning. How levelled should I be if I want to take on the Necrohol nasties that the medallions uncover?
The Ithuno snatch trick:
Spoiler:
Save your game at the Teleport Crystal @ North-South Junction. Proceed west (left) to Special Op Sector 5. Run down to the end where there's a small boulder. There should be TWO chests, a dull tan one and a shiny silver one. If not, reload your game (start, square).
The shiny silver chest is Ithuno - equip Thiefs Cuffs to your party and steal from it. Eventually, you'll snatch a Deathbringer. After stealing, run back out east to the North-South Junction to save. Then reload your game to have the random chance of having Ithuno spawn back again to re-steal the Deathbringer. Repeat as necessary (I got 3 Deathbringers total).

I'd say your Level 60+ is good enough to take on the first 2 Necrohol Nasties. Fluffy and that other Behemoth boss shouldn't be too hard. But the last guy, Chaos, is a bitch - he's immune to all physical attacks. I'd say you flare/shock/scathe him, or try Reverse or perhaps SoulEater (someone else said this).

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Forgot to mention something.
Some of the technicks in this game I have not bothered to use cause I don't understand them.
Traveler, Horology, Numerology, and Infuse = WTF?

List these spells uses please. I used Infuse before, but it just took an ally down to almost death before. Figured it was a crap spell.

Additional Spam:
If you have no luck getting Deathbringer early you can always buy it late in the game.
Deathbringer late game = crap.
If you're about level 30 or so, with weapons that have 60-70 attack (or if you're in worse condition that that), the Deathbringers will be exceptionally helpful. They KO some creatures, and if they don't kill them with one hit, they'll do substantial damage anyway (90 attack).

Just be careful trying to snatch Deathbringers from Ithuno. The creatures there can be too powerful for you to handle, so you have to hold down R2 to just flee in and out.

NP Cyan - happy hunting!

Wow, missed 10 pages of replies after being sick this whole last week.

All the FFXII loot and where to find it is here. (scroll down about 60-70%)

Congrats Metal, on your Order of Ambrosia - I don't have the patience or will power to accomplish that.

Soldier, where is this secret shop in the Nab Deadlands? I haven't uncovered it yet. By the way, just keep hunting the golems in the Feywood and they'll drop Aquarius Gems eventually. While you're hunting them, go kill some Cerberuses so that they can drop some Hell Gate's Flames.

2 Hell Gate's Flames + 2 Damascus Steels = 1 Gemsteel (one of 3 things needed for the Tournesol).

I currently stopped playing my game because I went through the 3 of 3 mini bosses at Pharaos. Saved at the 64F, but there's a pillar gate in the middle (looks like one of those wedding altars) thats inaccessible. The map shows a bunch of gears on the previous floors, but I'm still unsure what I need to do to get to the next floor. Gosh, its so inconvenient that you make it halfway through an area, and then there's no clues given for the next task.

Oh yeah - Okami? Never heard it. Post a link to the game's site so I can look it over. Thanx!

Do they have crystals on top of them, and they have names? Those are altars that you touch that make you give up something. I believe the four are:
  • Attack
  • Magic
  • Items
  • Mini-map

I took the mini-map one because it's the one that you can still manage easily without. It's the light purple gem in the southwest part of the circle.
I took the Altar of Wealth (items).
Currently at the save point at Pharaos 2nd Ascent: Reach of the Damned (64F).
That altar in the middle is the "Dais of Ascendence", but can't get on it because Nothing Happens. This chamber appears to be affecting the Dais.

The next level up is Pharos 2nd Ascent: The Bounds of Truth (65F). This is where I defeated Fenrir, the white tiger-humanoid (after beating Pandaemonium, the solid rock tortoise and Slyt, the scaled fish on the previous levels).

So I'm not exactly sure what my next action has to be to ascend past floor 65.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

This confused me, too. Basically, you need to return the crystal you chose before (Wealth, in your case) back to its pedestal thing. The elevator -- I mean, the Dais of Ascendence will operate once all four of those crystals are on their pedestals and there are no restrictions on your party. It's one of those so-obvious-it's-impossible things.
Wow, it worked. Heh. When I did reach that floor I took out a different crystal before I made it to the Dais and wondered what the hell was wrong with it. Thanks for the help.

Sephiroth's Upper Crystal map

Man WTF - if you guys take a look at the Upper Crystal map I just posted, there's 2 tresure chests just below where it says "Map 2".

I was expecting to get the Excalibur from one of those chests. But even with Diamond Armlet equipped, I got friggin gil out of them! 2500 gil from one, and another 2800 gil from the other.

WTF is this shit? Can't the game even tell that I have 500,000 gil in my damn huge-ass pocket as it is? Such bullshit.... I bet there's gil waiting in the other treasures as well... LAME AS FUCK

One more goddamn Corpse Fly and I'll get the Whale whisker. 2 more Soul Powders and I got the Tournesol - oh wait! I need to go deep into the Henne Mines to try getting it? Wow WTF, the Abysteels will rape my ass before I make it halfway in....

I sell them in bunches, just to be safe, but the items required for most of these weapons are only used for these weapons, and nothing else. It remembers the amounts you put in, and once you hit the required number of this and that, the item will be made.
Ya, here's an instance for me: To make a Soul Powder:
High Arcana x1
Soul Powder x1
Wargod's Band x2

I obtained a Soul Powder after beating Ixtab (rank II) in a hunt a long while earlier in the game (given as a reward). I sold the Soul Powder cause I wanted the gil for upgraded weapons coming out in the market.

Later game, I sold only the 1 High Arcana and the 2 Wargod's Bands, and Wallaaa! "New bazaar market item available"

Sure enough, the Empyreal Soul was there for purchase. Most rare loot in this game is only used distinctively for one Bazaar goody. So yeah, I'm supporting MS's quote above ^^.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Oh gawd, now I have to do a shitload of research into the Occuria and nethicite to keep up with you all? Sheesh. I'll try writing something up later...

Metal, you're looking for a Garif Adventurer? I'd have to say about half the time I passed through the Greensnake in Ozmone, there was a hostile garif there battling a few Wu. Any attempt at buffing him would only result in that bastard coming back at me, like I hurt him. You could also check the Giza Plains (south) during the rains - garif adventurer has spawned there a couple times before.

Wow, Ensauguined Shield + Lure >> PyrBlaster. God, that wyrm (tyranosaurus rex) can hit pretty hard without it

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

God, Gilgamesh is such a pain in the ass.
The first time you face him on the bridge, he can unleash an attack that KOs a character. As long as you got Arise, no probs. Oh, and the patience to wait for his physical barrier to wear off as well.

However, the 2nd time
Spoiler:
you play him outside the Staging Shaft, he doesn't use his OHKO attack but performs series of 2-4 hit combos. That damn dog of his is volatile this time too - "Fly, Enkinou" can inflict a serious amount of damage to a character.

When you manage to get rid of Enkinou, Gilgamesh will do a series of Level spells against your party: Level 2 Sleep, Level 3 Disable, Level 5 Petrify.

Before you fight Gilgamesh the 2nd time around for the Masamune, I suggest your characters to be Levels which are NOT divisible by 2, 3 or 5.
Which leaves us at : Level 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 77, 79, 83, 89, 91, 97

Metal Sphere, looks like I'll have fun with Ultima. I always imagined that as a male character than a female, I don't know why. I remember there was an accessory that actually prevents you from gaining EXP, which might come in handy, so I don't spill over to level 98 or 99 for Gilgamesh.
Put a pair of glasses on then - it's a fucking woman! And why are you talking about putting the "Firefly" accessory on when you can just switch up your party to the right levels? God....

How did you lvl your characters lvls to 99 manually?
Uh yeah, all you gotta do is put on these things called "Embroidered Tippets" and just kill stuff? Then you gain double experience from the kill? K...

Great, just when I thought of how much trouble Yiazmat and Omega are gonna be for me, The ShadowSeer is now officially a cheap fuck too. It's a damn shame that our magic gets raped compared to theirs.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I wish I had the Genji Gloves, but it's more than likely that this thing would combo ridiculously. With Berserk+Bravery on, even enemies with layers of defense would still eat 9,999. You should see how it reacts when an enemy tries to parry (Baknamy, Elvorets, various Skeletons) , it simply keeps swinging until it kills them. If I'm not mistaken, Berserk also increases the likelihood of combos, though I'd have to find out for sure.
I was able to steal the Genji Helm and Genji Armor from Gilgamesh during the 2nd duel. So I'm guessing if you steal from him during the first duel on the bridge, you'll snatch the Genji Shield and Gloves.

But anyway, it doesn't make that much difference. The Helm and Armor increase multiple hits well enough. I put the Genji shit on Penelo, and she usually combos 3-5 hits every 3 swings she does with the Masamune (she holds the Masamune like, well, a teenage girl too, barely being able to hold it - she looks P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C).
So when you talk about the Wyrmhero Blade doing combo hits every single attack, I can't imagine the insanity damage (well, 9999 x??) it'll do with any Genji shit equipped along with Haste + Beserk.

And yeah, it's not licensed just like how the Treaty Blade isn't. It acts as those free-user weapons, and SHOULD since you went through hell and highwater just to get the damn thing. I'd laugh my ass off if my Vaan was Level 1, 120 HP and 32 MP, with a Wyrmhero Blade on him. That's like picking on a 5 year old thin kid who's got a loaded nuclear device in his pocket o_O!!!!!

I still don't know what the Wyrmhero Blade looks like, so I'd give applause to whoever wants to post a picture up of it. But for now, Vaan has the 109 attack Ragnarok (with Immobilize), Basch with the 120 attack Excalibur (holy damage), Balthier with the 93 attack Masamune (Genji equipped), and Fran with the cool Sagittarius + Assassin's arrows. I'm still on my way to forging the Tournesol.

True, but you still feel the closure in getting the thing you've spent hours trying to find. Even though its a fantasy-based game, think of all those individuals in real life who have spent many YEARS trying to acquire a rare object, much like treasure hunting. You're doing the same thing. And no, I'm not giving a further lecture about it cause it'll spawn pages worth.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Fafnir gets raped in 4 Minutes!

Can't believe this guy - I felt shameful with my original antics of taking on Fafnir compared to this pro player. Well, enjoy!

FELIPE NO

^about this video - I killed fafnir when I was in level 68/69 and he wasnt a problem at all BUT his damage attack was NEVER as high as the fight in the video @_@ - it probably took me at least 30- to 50 minutes to take him down and I wasnt even giving a damage of 9999 .__.?

my question will be HOW on earth do you get Reddas at level 99??? is that a cheat? o how? cos I dont have a clue

ta!!

EDIT :

another thing in the video the time is 98 hours? can you get all that in 98 hours? O_O
Reddas is NOT level 99 - he was Bubbled to 9999 HP. Reddas was in my party for about 10 hours of my playtime, and he didn't level up while the rest of my party did. There's an EXP limit to your guests - they hit a certain amount of experience and then they stop gaining it indefinitely.

He got his characters to Level 99 even BEFORE 98 hours of playtime - which means he went on a, what I call, "Power Trip" - probabaly auto-leveled at Overlooking Eternity in Nabudis Deadlands with those constant skellies spawning. You can also try "Power Tripping" in the Great Sphere just outside Ultima's save point where theres constant Forbidden spawning up and offer about 2000 EXP per kill.

So, is there another way to easily get the circlet? I really need it for the masamune. Or does that chest respawn if i go back to pharos?

Can you please answer me?...it's important ^^.
The chest will respawn. Here's an example that'll help you keep your faith in getting it:

My first time I went through the Feywood to the Edge of Reason - there's a chest there with a mine blocking it to the southeast section. I opened it without the Diamond Armlet and got something stupid. Proceeded through Giruvega, the Great Crystal, then Pharos.
Later on, I came back to that spot to pick up some Serpent Eyes from the Basilisks and found the chest again. Diamond Armlet equipped, I got the Ensauguined Shield (misspell = probably).
With this in mind, if you're just unlucky in picking up your powerful stuff the first time around, try again later.

I agree that Penelo looks ridiculous using the Masamune, but so does Vaan using a greatsword (he crosses his arms awkwardly), or Ashe with it. The only one that really looks and strikes awesomely with it, is Fran. I think that's mainly due to the weapon's size and her height, along with outfit, complimenting each other.
Metal, I've tested it.
Penelo + Masamune with Rubber Suit + Crown of Laurels = no combos (she did a 3-hit combo after her 6th attack or so)

Penelo + Masamune with Genji Armor + Genji Helm = 3-hit combo, 2-hit combo, -no combo-, -no combo-, 5-hit combo, 3-hit combo, 4-hit combo.

I'll try doing more solo attacks with her just to make sure I can hold my tongue on this.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Heh, that makes three of us now.
I don't know if I'm considered the 4th man, but I scathed Chaos to complete shit. I got worked up about fighting him because Metal constantly warned us about his Aeroja attack that confuses your party, so I kept Chaos aside too long.

Vaan was equipped with anti-Confuse, while Basch and Ashe ran around like, LOL, decapitated chickens which made me laugh hard. It was one of those exceptional moments where it was better to let them die to Arise them with no status ailments. In which I Reflectgaed them and Triple-Scathed Chaos to a complete pile of SHIT (uh, like I said ^^).

Gesus, talk about easy... The "Reflect Trick" was just so damn overpowered

Oh yeah, and lastly: Behemoth King = asshole! enuff said

Jam it back in, in the dark.
