A suggestion. Never watch anything that airs on CBS.
Not exactly fall television, but how about that Mad Men episode this past Sunday? One of the main aspects of this show is the unspoken consequences looming around the corner. While I'm usually impressed with the quieter episodes, it's great to see the other shoe drop at last, or at least the set up to it. I'm eagerly awaiting the last few episodes this season.
If the premier of Dexter is any indicator for the rest of the season, the writing looks to be returning to form. Last season was entertaining for the cat and mouse aspect of things and Lithgow really chewed up the scenery, but things got campy, particularly Dexter's narration. Well, the show's always been over the top, but maybe things are going to become a bit more focused on his character's pathology now.
I think I laughed harder at every first season episode of Eastbound and Down over S02E01. It had some moments. Fingers crossed it improves.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
