I have spent the better part of my life swearing and cursing. I can't really help it anymore, I curse all the time. Goddamnit, I even used to curse at church because my parents would make me go.

Now, I could give a fuck less. I get dirty looks from mothers shielding their children from the EVIL THAT IS PROFANITY, but I figure I only have to give the kid a few years before mine or someone else's cursing turns him into a dropout junkie.

Remember kids: Sticks and stones break bones. Bad words will HURT AMERICA'S MOTHERFUCKING FUTURE.

How ya doing, buddy?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that it's really the only acceptable form of communication when you're on the road.

"YOU COCKMUNCHER! DON'T FUCKING SLOW THE FUCK DOWN OVER THE TRAIN TRACKS! YOU DRIVE A MOTHERFUCKING SUBURBAN! IT'S NOT FUCKING GOING TO FALL THE FUCK APART! YOUR FUCKSTOCK IS SHIT, CUMGUZZLER!"

There's nowhere I can't reach.

MOTHERFUCKER! It's Robo Jesus out of FUCKING NOWHERE!

I don't see profanity as a crutch though. A crutch implies disability. Think of it as a language enhancer.

See, this is where I have a problem with that. I completely understand the smoking; we've been shown proof that second hand smoke is really as bad, if not worse, for your health so smoking it around other people is almost intentionally wanting to bring them harm. I have yet to find proof that my cursing is going to turn someone's kid into a dropout junkie.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I understand that. I'm not arguing about undermining any way that a parent feels like raising their child. But it's naive to think that parents can shield their children from these things forever and EVERYWHERE they go.

I respect a parent's right to shield a child from these things in their home and other designated places since, for example, I obviously wouldn't come to their house as a guest and curse like it's my personal pub.

In a "family restaurant", per se, I obvioiusly watch my language a lot more often than I normally would because I understand that the environment does not cater to my swearing. It just amuses me, for example, when I'm walking down the street in Pismo with my friends and having a typical curse-filled conversation like WE ALWAYS do and I get parents shooting me these dirty looks like, "You fucking spic I was on the street first, you have no right to swear around my child."

I apologize very much, ma'am... But this isn't your sacrosanct home and there's no laws against me cursing on public city streets... Yet.

Yeah, like I said... There's no law against it YET. Smoking has already been banned from pretty much every place that isn't one's personal home. It won't be long before this "for the children" mindset censors my sailor's mouth in those places as well.

So I've heard. There's a whole swarm of folks that can attest to that.
