I played the demo weekend on my laptop, but this thing's rather old and only has the minimum system requirements so the graphics are a bit on the lackluster side. I wanted to get a better perspective on the graphics, so I shot out to my friend's house yesterday and used his computer to play the demo.
The game does impress me a bit, but I still feel a bit underwhelmed by the whole experience so far. I like the gravity related puzzles and the portals, but other than that, this game really doesn't seem to offer much besides orgasmic eye-candy. As I understand this game uses the Doom 3 engine so this is only a given and once you see this game running on a Pentium D 3.6 ghz and a Radeon X1600, there's really few games that compete with this on a graphical scale.
I may or may not get this game now that it's out for PC but to those who are looking for a revolutionary game (and if you're one to believe the hype, you would be expecting one) look elsewhere.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
