I have two jobs, actually. One is simple enough on its own: Attend an elementary school for 4 hours a day on weekdays and play around on computers with students K-6. It's an after-school program that's only partially state-funded so we have ridiculous amount of freedom to do what we damn please to mask fun computer activities as "learning" and I have a LOT of fun in my job. It IS still partially state-funded so we have to meet California State standards for education and have to write 8 hours of "educational" material to teach during that time. However, I write my weekly lesson plans on my laptop once a week at my favorite brew pub under the influence, sober up, show up the following week and push those plans for 4 days (2 hours per day x 4 days), and then on Fridays I do whatever we want to do for fun. As it just so happens for me, that's usually Wii Sports, Guitar Hero, Rock Band or DDR. I have yet to convince my supervisor to let us play Grand Theft Auto or Call of Duty for our Arcade Fridays but I'm sure I'll get him drunk enough one night to agree.
My other job is still doing graphic design for a marketing company on the side. The owner finds me jobs, emails me the info, I design whatever they want, I email proofs back to him and, if they approve, I submit to press in Los Angeles and delivered UPS to a customer-appointed address. It's still fun to do graphic design and, since I actually have a certificate for it, I don't see the point in letting it go to waste; especially when it only takes up a fraction of my time and brings in about $300-400 extra per week.
tl;dr I LOVE MY JOB(s)
Jam it back in, in the dark.
