Rage Against The Machine will forever remain one of my favorite bands that everyone now reminisces about after their break up. Soundgarden is another one. Their self-titled debut was one of the most hard-hitting and most unique blend of metal and hip-hop.
Unfortunately the fire in Zach De La Rocha's belly died down over the course of the band's life. I think their downfall had a lot more to do with their success than it did with their political ideals and sooner or later the ship just sank. Still doesn't deter from the fact that they were at one point the ideal political voice for the mainstream youth. Few bands will ever achieve this. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
