HAY GUYS

I really really REALLY hate tomatoes.
But for some reason, I like Ketchup.

Ketchup is my life blood....

Guys... Seriously.... Ketchup is NOT tomatoes. Or at least it holds little tomato in today's ketchup. :/

I like eating tomatoes raw in combination with other foods; like burgers or in a chopped up in a salad. My brother-in-law just cuts tomatoes in half and eats them with salt and pepper, just like Adara describes, but I've never liked them like that. My personal favorite way to consume tomatoes is in juice form: you take a glass, put some Tapatio Hot Sauce, some lemon and fill your glass with tomato juice; now THAT is a damn delicious way to get some Vitamin C in your system.

One of my co-workers is a vegetarian and her and her cousin grow their own vegetables. Just a couple of weeks ago she brought a couple of lbs. of tomatoes for us and I brought a couple home and made some AWESOME salsa with some of my dad's homegrown tree chili peppers and onions.

Homegrown fruits and veggies are awesome

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You know what, chief? I spent the better part of my childhood (CHILDHOOD) picking oranges, olives, tomatoes, watermelons, grapes, a large assortment of chili peppers and lemons (complete with 2"-long thorns that can pierce leather work gloves), however, I didn't develop a proximity-driven hate for these items; in fact, I love them even more because of it.

All I'm saying is that if you REALLY like something, a little honest work that never killed you should actually enhance your love of it because you now know what it takes to get it to a dinner table.
