Music: How long does it take before you get fed up?

You know when a song gets played on the radio too much? And by that I don't mean its standard twice or thrice a day run; I mean every hour, on the hour, gotta-hear-that-NEW-Nirvana-joint-because-it-was-CLASSIC perpetual hammering in the skull.

This is how I've come to hate a lot of mainstream music; not because I think it sucks but because it's been played to an obscene degree and I really just want radio DJs to be executed in their respective village squares. I remember that I used to LIKE listening to the radio back when Soundgarden wasn't played 23 times per day and when Stone Temple Pilots actually rocked my socks within their allowable one-play-per-week slot.

Now... No such luck.

No but I can assure you that if I were and I was taken to the village square to be beheaded for my crimes against music I would (sort of) understand.
