A bit thrown together, but:

Jurassic Park - An all around great movie with a little bit of everything. It simply has "the magic".

The Brave Little Toaster - This one might be the most unlikely pick, but I've always loved the teamwork and friendship elements. Plus it has a dark quality to it that I've always found curious.

The Big Kahuna - Just an insightful and well acted movie. I love how everything essentially takes place in one room.

Empire Strikes Back - I probably don't need to explain this one. The best Star Wars movie and just a great movie period.

Tombstone - The only western that I truly enjoy and Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday is just amazing.

Me, Myself and Irene - I never get tired of the humor in this one. This and The Truman Show are probably my favorite Jim Carrey movies.

L.A. Confidential - This one stays interesting throughout and has a great mix of mystery and suspense.

Terminator 2 - Epic sci-fi stuff with great action and the right amount of emotional drama.

There are some other movies I could've listed, but these are the ones that came to mind first, and I should probably leave it at eight.

Nice pick. I've always found that movie creepy and intriguing. I'm still hoping to pick it up for cheap sometime.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Cool. I'm glad that I'm not alone on that one and Tombstone is of course my favorite western. I've seen some other highly regarded ones like Unforgiven, but most seem to be a little too plodding for my tastes.

I like the SMB movie as well.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
