Hard to say I have seen wireless routers do this when they overheat. Don't ask me why they just do. I have found this is more of a problem with D-Link units than most others. I use to use D-Link all the time but recently I haven't been very pleased with there performance and have switch to LinkSys. If all else fails if you can try another router this would help rule out a hardware problem.
