This is a little
off-topic but I'll bring it back on as soon as I ask this question.
I'm reading one of Halo books right now. More to the point,
The Flood. On page 240 in the final paragraph of the page, the monitor (343 Guilty Spark) said something that caught my attention:
|
Quote:
"...These Sentinels will supplement your combat systems. But I suggest you upgrade to at least a Class Twelve Combat Skin. Your current model only scans as a Class Two--which is unsuited for this kind of work..."
|
So the Forerunner had similar suits to that of Master Chief? I can further develop upon this theory. What if the Humans are the descendants of the Forerunner? From the books & games, it's the only logical conclusion I've been able to come up with.
Master Chief has been able to manipulate the Forerunner computers rather easily (without the help of Cortana, and has questioned himself as to
how and
why), 343 Guilty Spark brings up the possibility when discussing the armor (my bad,
combat skin) of Master Chief, and from what I've seen... a Forerunner structure is found on Earth.
Deductive reasoning supports my theory. Please, I ask for your thoughts. Am I way off base? Or could I be on to something?

Sorry call me a noob whatever but I was unaware you could cheat on xboxlive, I've seen many glitch vids but as for cheating what do people do. Don't bungie just ban people that use mods and cheat?

Oh man does this bring back a horrific memory... my first encounter with a cheater on Halo 2. Let me tell you the story.
Back in the day when I still played Halo 2, I was playing a ranked Team Slayer (4/4) on Warlock (a
very small map). As soon as the match started, I died. I couldn't figure it out at first. I figured someone got off a
really lucky double-shot as I spawned. So the game restarted, instantly I fell dead to the ground.
Ok, now what the hell is going on?
So as soon as I spawned, I made a mad dash for some cover. Lost my shields doing so but least I was alive. So I pulled out the B.R, now in the mood for the fight of my life. I peaked out. What I saw surprised me. Sure, I've heard about cheaters and people who modified the game. But I had never experienced it first hand. That was, until now.
Two of their teammates had banshees, one had a B.R which shot 105mm Scorpion Tank shells, and the other was literally floating around the map like one of the ancient Greek gods shooting Wraith mortars horizontally.
It was at this point, I knew what I was up against. However I was determined. I knew I was going to lose. I was out-gunned & my entire team had already dropped out. I could've followed but I wasn't going to give up without a fight. It's just the type of player that I am.
So I peaked out and put two double-shots into the flying God which floated around the map firing Wraith mortars. It was at this point that I learned that not only was he posing as a Greek God but that the bastard was immortal to.
Needless to say, I lost. The score was 1-50 and it ended within less than four minutes. I managed to score one kill during the game and to this day, I am very proud of it. The game took pity on me and spawned me behind one of the bastards. Two strikes to the back killed him. This happened about mid-game.
It was the last match I ever played on Halo 2. It burned me out. Once in a while I'll log in to play a custom game but I don't do matchmaking anymore.
Bungie tries to ban every cheater that they come across but they can't stop it right now. They ban someone... they create a new account... and well, it goes downhill from there. I respect Bungie for trying to stop it but they're fighting a battle I fear they will be unable to achieve victory in. Still, I may be speaking too soon. We'll see what Halo 3 does to solve this problem. I'm skeptical.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
