This example's a little off due to the fact that Mystery Dungeon is a Rogue-Like game and barely a Pokemon game.
While a lot of "little Timmy"s who "gotta catch'em all!" want the game, I don't think they know what they're getting into. It's a completely different genre, one that leans towards the older gamer.
In my own experiences, my local EB has been perfect (in terms of never giving attitude about what games I buy), but I did have some mouth-breather at a mall-based EB completely insult me for getting The Bouncer a few months after it came out (I was buying it used for cheap!). He went on about how much it sucked and how the PS2 scratches discs and makes them melt.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
