Heh, good luck. I wouldn't restart the game for a spear, especially not after everything I've done.
Well I wouldn't say that I would be playing just to get the Z. Spear. A lot of my friends are just starting to play now and asking me for advice and such and telling me where they are in the game now. Hearing all of this makes me miss some of the story line that took place earlier in the game so I think maybe a replay will be in order. I still have a lot to do with this current game though so that won't be happening for some time now.

In the Jap version and USA version, I hear that there is a hand weapon that have 255 strengths. Is it right or only a false rumors.
As nice as that would be the stongest weapon in the game is infact the Zodiac Spear. If it did exist there isn't a spot for it on the liscense board which would effectively render that weapon useless other then admiring the fact you had it.

While I agree that this is likely a baseless rumor, the Wyrmhero Blade isn't on the license board either. But if we go by the only thing that isn't on there, this mythical weapon will likely be a piece of crap.
Holy shit that completley slipped my mind. I remember noticing that when I was just randomly completing everyones boards awhile back and I didn't remember seeing it but forgot to bring it up. I wonder why they didn't put it on the board since it seems to be one of the toughest weapons to acquire, just becuase of the length and overall difficulty of the two fights.

Metal, didn't you say awhile back you found a way to negate the speed or something from the Wyrmhero? Maybe I am mistaken and you just said you were testing something out.

My first time through the game I am just not sure if I would feel right using an auto-leveling tactic. I can see myself doing it on a replay possibly but would just feel like for my first time through I was just cheating myself and making certain aspects of the game to simple.

Since i can find the circlet in subterra too, i'm just going directly there. So, can you give me any advice about that dungeon? Or is there any guide for it? I saw the map on gamefaqs, but how does that dugoeon work? Should i fill the pedestals with the dark orb till they shine, and then will the elevator unlock for the next floor? Can i go back and save every time i clear a level? 'cause i wouldn't like to get a wrong treasure from a chest (like the circlet...) at the last floor, withour having ever saved doing that dungeon...
There isn't a whole lot going on other then knowing how many orbs to place within each pedestal. I'm pretty sure there is a guide for that and if not heres the amounts that you put in each pedestal at there given location.

Level:-----------NE--NW-- SE---SW-----Total:
Penumbra--------18--9---- 3-----6------ 36
Umbra-----------15--9-----15----18----- 57
Abyssal----------15--21----27----12----- 75

Before you enter the rooms at any location there will be hordes of Abadon's as well as I believe night mares. So just be prepared as soon as you come off the elevator, depending on your level of course. What I did was to save it after every floor that I completed. It just made sense seeing as how it took a little while to complete each one and I got some really good treausre while down there. Couple things to keep in mind. First you might want to have a couple bowline sashes handy. While in any of the rooms sometimes the Necrofiends come out and use Phantasmal Glaze which will confuse you. I almost had my party wiped out by killing each other after this. Another thing is, you should really NOT attack the magic pot. I did accidentally while fighting a couple other things and actually got wiped out. Also be sure to kill Phoneix on the First Floor (Penumbra).

Edit: Sorry about that chart, if there is any confusion about it just let me know and I will clarify.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Once I'm at the point where I can actually get black orbs, that'll be very useful. It makes sense, too, if you know how to read tables. :P I tried the subterra in average level 64 and basically got owned in short order. Prepped better for it the second time and got through two waves before I very nearly got very owned again. Now that I've done some levelling up I'll give it another shot, but being swarmed by 8 mobs the same level as me was not easy to survive.
Yea the chart was messed up before so i had to edit it, so now I think it should be easy enough for people who can read lol. Anyways the same thing happened to me, I went there at too low of a level and ended up having to retreat to the elevator. I think I finished everything there at around mid 70's and it was easy enough to walk around so long as my characters weren't being confused! Another thing you should wach out for is there are a ton of traps there so you may want to enter the area using float or set it up in your gambit system.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yeah, but then I'll have to get to level 99 eventually, and hunts and big enemies don't really help the experience meter at all. I'm just fast tracking it, and hopefully this will make (this SHOULD MAKE) the final few dungeons a cake walk. I think I'm read for Gilgamesh now, I'm about early 70s, I think. I wonder how bad this is for my PS2. ;__;
Yea I was thinking about that and would have been weary about using that method since my last PS2 crapped out. Since then I have been really cautious. But then again if you think about it there have been times where I have played for 8 or so hours straight (with breaks leaving the PS2 on) so all in all it probably doesn't really matter.

Well I am finding myself in a rare position here. Typically when I am reaching the end point of a game and begin my sidequest's and attempt to tie up miscellaneous ends, for some reason I begin to lose interest in the game(aside from the FF series). Yet with XII, even though I felt the story line and dialogue were seriously under developed, I find myself yearning for the completion of the game.

Moving on, now about to head down into the Henne Mines to FINALLY bring the rest of my party up to 99. I've been saying it for some time now but haven't had it in me as of yet to go for another grind session. It shouldn't take all that long though and once I get this all taken care of I can move on to Omega and Yizmat. I don't think with my primary party at 92 and my reserves at an average of 65 I would pose much of a threat here.

I saw a clip of someone taking on Omegea without using the decoy method and it didn't seem to be all that bad. Towards the end it seemed to be a little more difficult due to increased speed, but that happens with many bosses. maybe That will have to be my goal for this evening.

Correct me if I am wrong but while I watched the sequence I didn't see Omega do anything other then use physical attacks?

Nemesis in FFX. Almost impossible to beat without high agility and Quick Hit. (or Penance...) I think Penance is harder
Yea I think I would have to go with Penance here as well. With that fight it was nearly essential to have everyones sphere grid completley customized to have the high speed/strength/and agility. I can't completley compare at this point since I have yet to face Yizmat but I can't see him being as much of a pain in the ass.

With regards to Diamond Weapon I didn't think it was too too tough aside from a time factor once again. Once you had your set routine with him it was actually not all that bad. Although it did take some time to get all the Materia and such prepared for the fight. God I miss XII.

Alright I've power leveled my guys to level 83 on the dot. I'm ready for Gilgmesh, what should I equip? =O
83 huh? You got up there pretty quick! When I fought him I was in the high 60's and just had on bubble belts and that turned out just fine. You shouldn't have a problem with him at all, remember to take out his little dog first. Einkendu I believe it's called.

The problem is all the chest I opened without equiping the "Diamond Armulet." If I leave Pharos and return, will the chest respawn?
I'm not 100% sure about it, but me thinks that it does respawn. When I was down there I got it on my second time around while collecting more black orbs. So it is possible but once again I am not totally sure. While down there though, if they do indeed respawn, make sure you search out and get one of the few Ribbons of the game. They are arguably the best accessory you can get.

So I do not have to do clear both of the lands then? Just the last one then? Right? I read on another MB that you have to clear both. Fafnir was done along time ago. He gave me problem the first couple of time until I got Buubble Belt. Then I just kept ATK him, then Reviving my Characters.

So Far in this game, the only Monsters that gave me trouble was Chuulican (SP) Esper in th WaterWay (because of his Sap), Chaos (In Necrohol because of his magic field where you can not ATK and just use magic), and Fafnir who was a load to kill. Thats about it.
Everything that I have read says that you need to clear BOTH fields and then he should appear. That's what I had to do in order to make him show his ugly ass. It really isn't all that bad of a fight though. As I recall his white breath attack or something like that also inflicts stop so either switch over to a power belt while he getting ready for that or make sure you have a gambit that has Chrono's Tear's.

Man, I spent 20 minutes cleaning out enemies to try to get the Behemoth King to spawn, to no avail. Got bored and finished clearing out the Abyssal level of the Pharos. Any tips on getting the Behemoth King to spawn?
What I did was just make a circle around the map and eventually narrowing it until you reach the center (start going around the perimiter and eventueally end up in the middle). I did this twice for each area which ended up being about 5-6 minutes in each zone. If you go much longer then that there are certain monsters that will continue to respawn making more of a pain in the ass for him to come out. Just a few trips around and then move on. If you took 20 minutes then chances are that you did in fact clean out the enemies needed, but also allowed time for them to respawn. So just do what you did before but don't take all that time in doing so and you'll get him to show.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Hey Lionking-Cyan, try fighting the LV99 Red Chocobo. He'll give you a run for your money.

Hey does anyone know howe to get Wargod's Band or Hell-Gates Flame? Everytime I try to stell or poach from Leynir(in Nebreus Deadland), I always get Ivalice Caprece and everytime I try to steal or poach from Cerberus in Feywood I always get fire crystal.
Those are two items that require a lot of patience. For the Hell-Gates Flame, just keep trying to steal and then kill them. I once went about an hour with nothing from the Cerberus and then all of the suuden got like 5 in 19 minutes. Don't use poach for those, it's basically wasting time. Keep trying to chain and zone and they will eventually pop up. As for the Wargod's band, it didn't take me all that long. No little tricks though, just have thief cuff's and steal before you kill them so you will double your chances.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well then, I'm gonna go ahead and say that your whole party better damn well be Level 99 if you take on Yiazmat.

Is it possible to get a 2nd Tournesol against him? I already got one with Vaan, and he deals 9999 damage without Bravery. But my other chararcters aren't dealing enough damage with the other lower class weapons. Zodiac Spear = no chance in getting it since I opened the chests that should not have been touched.

It also stinks that Yiazmat absorbs holy damage, so Excalibur is out of the picture.

2 more questions: Which damn vendor sells armor that halves (or better) the wind damage by Cyclone?
And where can I purchase the Renew spell? Still haven't gotten it...
Pretty sure you can have a 2nd Tournsol. Short just a couple items for it myself but haven't found the time to go "hunting" for some rare items lately.

As for spell and armor, the armor your looking for is the Windbreaker and can be bought in Rabanastre. The Renew spell you can find at the Dalmasca Westersand.

Edit: Anyone got a good gambit setup for the Omega fight?

How ya doing, buddy?

I just defeated Hell Wyrm..dude was way too easy but took forever to knock his big but down.

By the way, how do you get to Yiazmat??? Do you have to complete the entire hunt because the only one I have left is "Behemoth King."
Congrats on the Hellwyrm, yea he is pretty easy. It didn't take all that long for me, I just turned up the battle speed of the fight, went by in no time. Anyways the answer to your questin is yes, once all of the hunts are completed then you will have unlocked Yizmat. Just go and speak to Montblanc for the bill.

Really? Ohhhh that's right. I now remember you had beaten Yizzy before the Seer hunt. I wonder why that is? I thought I had read somewhere that all of the hunts had to be completed before he would show as a Mark.

Piccolo, are you going for any sort of completion with the game or are you basically through with XII now?

I agree that the storyline was a little weak and under developed. I wouldn't go as far as saying that the game has no replay value. I don't think it was a bad story but for the amount of time needed to finish all od the sidequests and such, they should have taken into account that would far exceed the time of the actualy story. Imagune how amazing and fulfilling this game would have been with another 20 or so hours of actual story mode.Yet the game still has replay value if for nothing more then the sidequests. I know I personally missed a lot of stuff in the beginning of the game and plan to go back and replay once I finish this one.

Well this question somewhat peaked my curiosity so I decided to look into it a bit. The only thing I have been able to come up with thus far is, a liberal translation for "Nethi" would fall along the lines of truth or morality. Although I am not sure if it is correct or if I even believe it to be so, I just thought I would share what it is I may or may not have uncovered. The word Nethi is often used in cultural or religious speakings so it also may just be someone also using these play-on words.

Finish all of the hunts (you don't need the Seer hunt) and you have to have defeated Hell Wyrm. Once all of that is done, then go and speak with Montblanc and he will give you the Yizmat hunt.

You have to go to the Cerobbi Stoppe and find Windmill number 10. Examine it and a man will show up asking you give him the loot from the Vyrral hunt. By doing so he gives you the age wyrm key which unlocks the door to Hell Wyrm. Once you have that go to the Sochen Cave Palace and in the central area there are what is called "Door Of Houurs". Start at the eastern side and continue going ONLY through the door of hours clockwise until you end up where you started. If done correctly you will see a note that says something like "you hear a door open". Then go to the western most exit of that area there will be a door. Go through that and the door at the end of the corridor and there will be Hell Wyrm.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I've been somewhat side tracked lately and just haven't really had the time to pick up the game. I'm saved right before Omega, finally thinking of takinig a stab at him. BTW, a little off topic, but anyone have any good recomendations for a FF-esque RPG. Truth be told those are basically the only RPG's I have played. I thought of buying a couple of the Suikoden's the other day to see what they were like, but I didn't. Just wasn't sure about them.

I don't know about FF-like, but you can try Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria, Rogue Galaxy popping up later this month, and Persona 3 in a few months.

BTW, I like how you said you saved right next to Omega, even though his hermit ass is at least 2 screens away from Waystone XXI.
Thanks, I'll have to take a look into those ones. Yea well I meant right before I prepared to do that fucking gate racing right before him again(I made it through and paused before I was going to fight him, then my brother decided to turn my game off without asking me to play Guitar Hero). I don't think there is an area in the game which I despise more then the Great Crystal. I mean c'mon, especially if your there for awhile (as I know you have been spending some serious time there lately) and listening to the damn foot steps walking on that shit. It gives me a headache after awhile until i finally mute it.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Ugh, I havent touched FFXII for weeks now due to work... I'm confined to playing portable games in my free time at the office Now that I think about it, I'm just at the part where Im building that sandstorm rod or whatever that'll let me walk against the sandstorm I found the damned part from the desert and now I forgot where I should be going back to (Sure, Rabanestre, but where?).... anyone?
It's at the West Gate and Northon, Cotze, and Rimzat (the Banga who sent you on the mission) should all be there. After a scene you will now be able to enter the Tyrant's nest (what a joke of a fight).

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
