Fill out your
FAFSA. It's not all scholarships, but trust me, its government funding for us poor people. I fill it out every year, and as a junior in college I can say that they pretty much cover $10,000-$15,000 of my $22,000 tuition. There are loans and grants and scholarships all in one. It's a long form, but if you have you and your parents tax forms on hand, it can be completed easily. It also lets your school know about your finacial situation, so they can chip in as well. I get a $2,000 scholarship from my school because they see my FAFSA and know that I'm poor and I need it!
Also, check with your high school guidance counselor as well as college finacial aid advice... your high school may have scholarships available from your city, like Lion's Club, or Knights of Columbus.
And, I know this may sound silly and I mean no offence by it, but are you sure you filled everything out in your account section of Fastweb? I too, use fastweb, and it gives me a TON of scholarships that I can apply for. Granted, I'm an English Major, so essays aren't a huge deal... but there's HUGE lists of activities that can apply to you. Make sure you check everything off.
