I recently purchased Resident Evil 4 brand new for 30 Dollars Canadian on the Nintendo Gamecube. It's an amazing game, I had already gotten to the second disk in that game from rentals I just finally got the chance to pick it up about a year after it's release. It's an amazing game, i'm on my third time through now.
Mercanaries = Ownage Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I bought the Bringing Down The Sky expansion for Mass Effect. I beat it within an hour or so, it was decent and worth 400 Microsoft points. But nothing more, I wish they would have added another city or something for exploration, either way it was a decent diversion until something bigger comes out for the Mass Effect Series.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Just purchased the Special Edition of Prey for Xbox 360 (used of course, excellent condition though), set me back 25 Dollars. I had played the demo of this game for PC ages ago, and I really enjoyed it, and seeing as the reviews had been positive when this game was released, 25 dollars was no problem (and for the Special Edition, because I can't live without my free downloadable album, and pewter figures

I bought quite a few games,
Warpath - Xbox $1 I played this on PC ages ago and even though it was a Unreal Tournament clone I didn't mind it. The Xbox version is pretty much the same, and for a dollar I could care less. Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2 - 360 $5 Awful awful game, I thought seeing as it was brand new (and five dollars) and judging it's "questionable" content it might be a decent game. I played about a half hour and boob's (horrible looking ones at that) don't make up for a lackluster experience. Stranglehold - 360 $5 One of those games I was going to purchase ages ago (even when it was sixty-dollars) but fell under my radar as newer games were coming out. I beat it already and am determined to conquer it on the harder difficulties. Well worth the little bit of money I spent on it, the gun-play while initially looking as if it was a Max Payne rip off, more then secured it's spot with it's unique stylization and incredibly destructible environments. Project Sylpheed - 360 $5 Comically, the five dollar price tag granted it's spot in my collection as I ignorantly assumed it was a Japanese RPG. So I thought "well, I'll get around to this later in the summer as a time waster", I decided to briefly try it much different then I expected. Had all the aspects of a JRPG but turned out to be a space shooter; I played the game for an hour or so and it was pretty decent I enjoyed the power ups however the control's felt a bit tricky. Vampire Rain - 360 $5 I knew what I was purchasing and five dollars for a game didn't bother me. I had to see the game for myself after seeing all the negative press, and while not AS bad as I had heard and seen It's still an awful game. But for five dollars I couldn't go wrong (yes, I had more fun with this then DOAX2). Splinter Cell Double Agent - 360 $10 Haven't gotten around to playing this yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Wii version and I had seen that this is a different game (story lines, objective) set in the same world as the Wii version so I felt ten dollars was a bargain. Rainbow Six Vegas - 360 $15 One of those games I always intended to purchase but never got around to it. Played quite a bit of this game when it came out and I really enjoyed it, have yet to get around to playing this but I look forward to later this summer. Battlefield Bad Company - 360 $60 I loved the demo, and had been looking forward to this game for a long time. Played about four hours into the single player mode and I love the destruction so far, the sound is also incredible. I bought this based on the Multiplayer aspect of course, but I want to finish the single player first, definitely a great game so far. Keep in mind, most of these purchases are based off of trade in's to EB Games. Which on a surprising level didn't really rip me off that bad as I got either around the same for what I payed (losing a few dollars in some cases) for the game in store credit or I got more then I payed for in store credit. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Anyways, my latest gaming purchases are: iCon VGA Wire - $45 Xbox 360 Personally, I feel ripped off as I found the official wire for the exact same price at a Jumbo Video. Either way, this wire works fine and my Xbox 360 looks great on my monitor. Keep in mind these two games below I got as gifts: Ninja Gaiden 2 - $60 Xbox 360 I played the demo of this game and instantly fell in love. Personally I feel the graphics are kind of lacking, however the game play makes up for it. I love the over the top violence, closest I'll ever get to a Kill Bill game. ![]() Unreal Tournament 3 - $60 Xbox 360 My PC is a piece of shit and can't play this game; I don't own a PS3 either. Me being a huge fan of Unreal Tournament 2004, I really wanted to get this when I heard it was being released for th 360. While the lack of user-created maps and no mouse and keyboard support may have felt disappointing, the core experience is still there and I'm loving the graphics. I was speaking idiomatically. |
I purchased Gears of War 2 recently, being the huge Gears of War fanboy I am (but not huge enough to shell out the extra money for the special edition) I made sure I got this. I beat it yesterday, and unlike the first game I really enjoyed the campaign in this one; of course loving the multi player, and the sole reason I bought the game.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I purchased Odama for Gamecube, brand new for five dollars. Personally, I picked up since I hadn't played the game and the concept seemed intriguing. When I played it though, it seemed kind of awkward, keep in mind I only played about an hour or so. Still, I'm intending to play a bit more.
I guess this counts as a "game purchase" since It's only being used for gaming. I purchased a 22" LG Monitor for my Xbox 360, it cost $230. The quality is excellent, however there is a back light bleed which is kind of annoying. Regardless I'm happy with the purchase; I have to purchase a new VGA cable for my Xbox though. The current one I own was a cheap cable, it started out working fine, however now it outputs an awkward signal where it makes the picture look like it's "doubled" in some cases. An annoyance, but it is the price I pay for cheaping out on the official VGA cables. FELIPE NO |
