This may sound Newbish but my friend wants me to help him purchase an Xbox 360 and we know what the Core Pack comes with but we were looking at online retailers and we couldn't find exactly what the Premium Package came with... Does it come with Two Controllers? And does it have a hook up in the back so you can play Online (Ethernet Port) or do you need WiFi?

I didn't wanna make a new Thread seeing as theres one right here and there seems to be discussion of the system here so yeah...

Jam it back in, in the dark.

After a short trip to Google and coming out confused, I wanted to ask if it's possible to download Original Xbox Save Files and run them on your Xbox 360? While I'm all for backwards compatibility, the fact that I'm barred from using my old save files is terrible; thats why I was hoping it's possible to at least be able to download save files and run them on my Xbox 360 (through USB Key, or iPod). Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, what the shit is this.

The new dashboard update will allow you to download old Xbox games for $15. What.

"Hey guys, since H2 and H3 sucked, here is the original."

Guess Wii's Virtual Console is dead. Can I get OTOGI 2.

EDIT: Xbox Originals are not without issues - Joystiq

Nevermind. Fuck Microsoft, and fuck Xbox.
Only problem I see with this, is the majority of 360 owners are Premium owners and not Elite Owners, and you don't get your full 20GB's of space on your hard drive (about 10GBs). Aren't most original Xbox games around 4 - 8GB's? If so that'd be a big chunk of your hard drive, making it very unappealing in downloading (and on top of that paying for them) classic Xbox games.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

every video i see of a 360 game has massive screen tearing(no vysnc)

Is that how they all run or something?
From what i've seen, this is only the case (and or option) in certain games. I haven't seen this in games like Gears Of War or Halo 3. Bioshock however, doesn't have screen tearing but if you go to the options and let it run at max FPS screen tearing occurs. Most of the games I've played so far, I haven't seen screen tearing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Curiously, I just updated my 360. Now once I sign into Live, it just hangs there loading, doesn't load anything I've waited 5 minutes now and nothing it just shows a load logo on all things that are incorporated into online, this excluding the games blade and the system blade... Any idea whats wrong... i'd hate if this update messed up my 360.

Nevermind my previous post, a simple reset worked, still took long to load up but it worked.

How ya doing, buddy?

I was curious, anyone know of any possible way in which I can transfer old save data from my original Xbox to my 360 without third-party accessories? Like for instance even if I can't transfer the original files, is it possible if I can download people uploaded Xbox Files and put them on my Xbox? I've tried doing it but no luck, either I'm missing something completely obvious here on how to do it or it's not possible.

On another note, is it just me or is Xbox Live being completely stupid. I try to connect on my dashboard it gives me the "Can't Connect To Messenger" and then after the loading circle you wait for upon connecting to live, You now get put back to the regular menu saying "Connect To Xbox Live"; as you can guess, once I do that same thing happens again. Yet it works when I go into a online game and connect, this wouldn't have bothered me but I like to use the Market Place every once in awhile.

Here's a quick question good sirs and mams of this forum, how does the RRoD coverage work? A friend and I have both had problems with our 360's as of recent - buying our 360s about two days apart - we're now both out of warranty (bought the 360s late october) and we've both encountered RRoD; the systems both work right now but I'm afraid of the impending doom. Since it's clear Microsoft makes the sloppiest console around, I'm confused about their warranty. I've googled and such and done a decent amount of research and I'm confused as to whether you're covered for three years if you get RRoD while owning a 360, or if you get the three years AFTER your system breaks down in the first year of warranty. If this serves any relevance I'm a Canadian.

That is going to serve a fair bit of relevance. The country you're in will affect who you need to contact, and also what your retail rights are. For example, in the UK you can return to the store up to a year after purchase. As such you'll benefit from the advance of a fellow Canadian, but I'll post this link I found a while back where someone's compiled all the useful info for UK citizens on the off chance that anyone else needs it or that some of the info provided is useful: Faulty 360s, warranties and consumer rights FAQ V1 - AVForums.com
I assume reading this Microsoft will give me a new 360, but I have no idea of the store policy aspect (granted I took it to a store) for Canada. Despite this I'm more worried about RRoD, which it seems like I'm still covered for. Thanks for the link!
