Apparently, the Duke Nukem Trilogy for DS and PSP are still scheduled for release. Duke isn't going down that easily.

Hideo Kojima is screwing with us again...the son of a bitch. A teaser site on konami's website has been updated. It's a vast field and thunder and lightning going on. When the lightning flashes, what looks to be the number "5" or an "S" appears briefly then disappears.

KOJIMA PRODUCTION "NEXT"

Now could this be Metal Gear Solid 5? Well it's likely that it is a Metal Gear game. If you view the source of the page, here's a look at the metatags:

<meta name="author" content="KONAMI" />
<meta name="description" content="KOJIMA PRODUCTION &quot;NEXT&quot;">
<meta name="copyright" content="©2009 Konami Digital Entertainment" />
<meta name="keywords" content="Hideo Kojima, MGS,METAL GEAR, NEXT, game, konami, kojima game, KJP, Kojima Production ">

Like I said Hideo could be screwing with us again. It's something to watch out for, though.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

There's a lowercase e in there as well, but people have rumored that to be an @ symbol. In which case the message could read:

5 E3 @ PR

Along with the picture of Big Boss flashing from time to time. It's all speculation for now on whether it's MGS5 or a different Metal Gear, but something is definitely happening at E3.

Oh jeez...well, it's worth a shot as long as it controls better than Sonic Riders.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Alright, I am officially confused...damn you Hideo! While the countdown on Kojima Production "Next" is not supposed to end until Sunday, there seem to already be new additions. The picture of Raiden as shown above from the magazine, but now there are also a "6" , a "C" and a "O" or "0" appearing.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Well if there were any doubts left about a new PS3 console, they have been dissolved. Today at GamesCom 2009, Kaz Hirai introduced the PS3 Slim which will contain 120GB of space, released on the first week of September internationally, and will retail for $299.

The current 80GB phat model will have the price cut to $299 starting tomorrow.

"[10:36] The PS3 Slim is 32 percent smaller and 36 percent lighter and has 34 percent less power consumption than the current model. It will have all the same features and functionality as the current PS3."

I really hope this isn't Sony's solution to backwards compatibility for PS2 games on the PS3 slim...making people buy them over again when they've already paid $20-$50 on it. I can play my PS1 and PS2 games just fine on my fat 80gig.

I noticed that Best of Sonic disc for $99 that Sega is considering. It better be every damn game that's been released up to Project Needlemouse, but it probably won't be. There's no way they could bring the GBA and DS games over to PS3, not to mention the Wii exclusives. I'd say it'd be from Sonic 1 to maybe Sonic Heroes.

No clue what Sony is thinking except this: Whoever leaked this is a dead man.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

God, you understand nothing about the gaming industry. Of COURSE Sony wants your money twice. That means twice as much money. You see how that might be a perk for a corporation? Besides, if you have a backwards compatible PS3 then stop whining.
It's a sound strategy, but it still doesn't make it right. A lot of people were pissed when Sony stopped putting backwards compatibility in their PS3s. If a system has that capability, there are going to be people who will sell their older Sony systems in order to buy a PS3. In my view, there aren't that many good exclusive titles for PS3 right now that I'd want to play.

this mechanism would appeal to people who don't give a shit about backwards compatibility, but might want to pay two or three games. Not people looking to replace an entire library.
Alright, that I can agree on.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
