Alright, I'm confused. So when is this launching in Tokyo Time? 10:30AM?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well you got your wish, somedude. Today's update explains the item called a gooey bomb.

I really hope Sonic is in the game too, but I doubt they'll do it just so they can save it up for Olympic Games game.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Also next week is E3 people, be sure to watch G4 cause there may be an update on this game.
You did not just say that. Damn, I've been trying to stay away from G4 and unfortunately it's gonna be the only place I can get my E3 info.

I am looking forward to seeing if they'll drop a bomb on some of the characters or levels at E3. We all know how big Snake was, then we got shafted with Fox. I really hope they don't announce at E3 that the next new character is Luigi.

Okay, I'm glad they gave a release date...but there wasn't a new trailer? I'm a little disappointed about that.

How ya doing, buddy?

That Space Armada theme isn't that bad at all. I'm starting to like what they're doing to the music. However, I get the feeling that this means they're not bringing back some old tracks like the usual Brinstar/Zebes theme, but that means that some other tracks are getting recognition like the Zelda II temple music did in Melee.

Wow, most enigmatic update EVER.

Can I be the only one who thought "IN HIS WOOORRRLLLLLLLDDD" when I saw the title of the update, or am I just a very sad man?
Depends on which version you were thinking of.

Smash Bros. with a story? It was bound to happen. Look at Dead or Alive, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter II...good gameplay with good story. I expect nothing less from Smash.

Heck, Sonic's going to be included anyway. Happy, fanboys? -_-"
I'll believe it when I see it.

As for the new stage I agree with Dopefish, it's Icicle Mountain all over again. Hate to say it but that was one of the worst stages in Melee. They're going to need something really surprising in there to get me to like that stage.

It's a terrible stage for newbies who can't figure out how to jump.
Although it wasn't an actual battle stage, remember in adventure mode when you had to escape from Brinstar after beating Samus? I liked that level, it was great. Another level I really liked was Poke Floats because it was fun to jump around on that stuff.

Icicle Mountain...the music isn't that great. The ice blocks are stupid as well. It just looks mediocre, but I guess that's what happens when you never play the original game.

Also, new stage and a moveset are up. Mario's moves have been altered?!? Whaddafuxup?!?
The F.L.U.D.D. is back.
"It does absolutely no damage—it’s just for sending opponents great distances. You can even charge it up while shielding. It’s best used in critical moments."

I can understand that they need to add something new to Mario in each new Smash Bros. game, like they gave him the cape to reflect projectiles in Melee, but they could've used something better. Still, now Mario has a projectile weapon other than his fireball.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

So wait...didn't somebody say on here that they weren't going to put up info on the website relating to unlockable characters? So I guess that's not true or Snake isn't unlockable.

Also why would you put MGS4 music in a Smash Bros. Brawl game? I mean I know it's from the trailers but come on it's like advertising in this game: "BUY A PS3! BUY MGS4!!"

There's nowhere I can't reach.

It would be nice if they made tournament mode an option when playing against people online, like they did with Dead or Alive 4.

Really, what does Square-Enix have that represents them? Really, how generic would a chocobo, a moogle, or a slime be.
If they were smart, they'd have Crono represent them...but since there's no chance in hell of that happening, we're probably more likely to see a Final Fantasy character if Square-Enix even gets involved in this.

I'll believe it when I see some official confirmation...but if it's true I'm with you on this, Infernal. Little Mac would be freaking awesome although I would've preferred it if he were a playable character.

Well I was hoping for the 8 bit version but this version isn't that bad either. Looks like they kept every detail about him. I'll bet a lot of people are wanting a new Punch-Out! now.

I'll suck people in on the edge as Kirby and fall to my death.
I had a friend who does that to me when he chooses Kirby. I choose Donkey Kong sometimes and carry them off the edge while their character wiggles helplessly to their doom.

Also, I'm going to miss character-specific break the target levels.
Agreed, those were always fun. Now with there being only 5 Break the target levels, you'll probably have to complete all of them with x amount of characters to unlock somebody.

It was cool with the character specific ones because they were made for the character's abilities and you had to figure them out. I think the hardest one I played was Yoshi's N64 version.

Well, they had you use the coins in Melee to get the trophies from that capsule machine so they'll probably do that again.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, if Grey Fox isn't going to be a playable character...please God, don't let Raiden be in this game.

Fuck yeah to third-party trophies, though. This means we'll be seeing a Sonic-themed something!
It's gotta be Tails, since he's been there with Sonic since Sonic 2. Only other person I could see being an assist trophy is Robotnik since he's been with the series from the beginning. It'll be a crime if another Sonic character makes it and either Tails or Robotnik do not.

From the looks of it, it seems most of those characters have a darker costume. Zelda looks like a witch in that picture above.

Snake...I've been partially blinded. Imagine if they put in all his suits from MGS3.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Well now a new question has arisen, "Which Melee stages will be put in Brawl?" Honestly, I'm glad they put the Temple stage in there as its one of my favorites. Same can be said for the music in the background.

Speaking of that music track, man that brought back the horrible memories of that last temple on Zelda II. Still, it's a pretty good arrangement...then Temple came in. I started screaming "No! Don't go away!" when it started to fade.

There are a certain number of Melee stages that I'd like to see in Brawl, like Brinstar, Poke Floats (very doubtful on this one), and maybe Super Flat Zone. However, I hope they keep out the Donkey Kong stages and Icicle Mountain. You think they would actually put stages from the N64 game in there?

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they pushed Brawl back again. If they did, expect it to be until June or July.

Image:Megexe.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There's your Battle Network Megaman. It spawned off an anime series which was actually decent (not the dubbed version). I've played the first two, but I stopped at the third.

If Megaman is going to be in Brawl, then why not just make his costumes the different versions of Megaman: Classic, X, Legends, Battle Network. That probably wouldn't work depending on what move set he gets, but that's how I'd go about it. If there's one that deserves to be in there, it's Megaman Classic. X is alright, but the original would fit in much better.

Poor Toad is about to be violated. Look at the shock on his face, that says it all. Also, the Kirby Snake is just hilarious but bad-ass at the same time. I remember hearing a rumor a while back that they weren't going to have Kirby copy other characters' moves anymore and use abilities from when he sucked up enemies in his own games, but I'm glad they kept this feature in.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
