i just got a sega genesis two weeks ago. it had ONLY the RF attachment (this is a genesis-2). i have a very nice VCR with all sorts of nice connection options, but sega games still look like absolute shit on my projector-- the NES looks better/clearer by far, and there is no bleeding on it. why? because the NES is going through composite, and thanks to a kickass filter on my projector, it looks decent enough. the rf cable though... looks terrible. anything on a blue background looks terrible - whether it's sonic on a blue sky, raiden shooting lightning in mortal kombat.... and ecco is downright unplayable.

i really really want to get some composite cables for this thing!

Now I see the video and right audio but I don't see the left audio in the picture (white). However, the one I have has all three.

Anyways, so in order to play the SNES and N64 games, I have to have the classic controller? Can I go ahead and make the assumption that I can use my cube controller?

Alright, I've gotta admit I'm psyched about the Wii. I was looking forward to Metroid Prime 3 on launch day but even though that's not gonna happen now, I'm alright with it. In truth, I'd probably spend more time on Zelda than anything else. I'll also say by the time I'm done with Zelda, hopefully the virtual console stuff will be online.

I haven't been this excited since the last time I preordered a system, which was the Dreamcast. The only thing I'm concerned with is if I get a defect Wii, which I hope doesn't happen.

Did we ever get a date on when we can pre-order the Wii in stores? I heard a rumor that it was Oct. 10th (tomorrow) but I called two of my closest Gamestops and they said that it was just a rumor. The system is only a month away from release, what the hell is keeping them from taking pre-orders?

Got up at 4:30 am this morning and went down to the Toys R Us that's about 8 miles from my house. 6 PS3 preorders, 14 Wii preorders, and we were already too late. My brother wanted to go home but I said we should try the other one that was about 30 minutes away. We got there, not as many people as the other one, 6 preorders for PS3, 15 preorders for the Wii and we were #14. It's a good thing too because we were already planning to have one of us at a Wal-Mart, another at another Wal-Mart, and our mom at Best Buy on Nov. 19.

But DAMN! The first people in line for the PS3 preorder had been there since Friday at 11am. That was crazy.

Btw, does anyone know the full list of what's going to be available on the Virtual Console whenever it launches? I'm aware of games like Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and Sonic the Hedgehog, but I'm just wondering if a confirmed list has been released. It'd be pretty cool if Chrono Trigger was available from the start.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Was there ever a resolve on if you'll be able to play all the Virtual Console games with your Gamecube controller instead of the Wii Classic Controller? Also, I've noticed that Nintendo is coming out with SD cards but they seem really expensive. Are there no alternatives?
