There was much chumping this week as only 4 made it to Karts. However, it can be forgiven because Music Park was not played once (although Tritoch attempted to ruin that).
I expect there to not be much chumping next weekend (and I actually expect some returning people) due to the new DLC coming out as well as 200cc (WE GONNA WRECK), but I do recall someone saying they would miss it due to vacation. Sad times.  We lasted about 2 cups before Tritoch and myself migrated to Smash.
DLC 2 NEXT WEEK This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Confirmed that 200cc is insane. I tried it out on 5 tracks. Excitebike, you're going so fast that the ramp boosts make you fly over 2-3 ramps completely. By the time you land, you're about to do another ramp boost.
But Mute City, MY GOD Mute City on 200cc is ridiculous. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

I would have no qualms about cancelling Karts tomorrow to try the Splatoon test run out once more. That hour I got in last time was pretty nuts.
But yeah, matchmaking needs to happen now but won't for at least another couple of months. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

So unfortunately it wasn't discovered until after Kart that XSplit didn't record the Skype/game audio so the only sound that made it was my microphone. I usually do a quick check before each session and I heard my microphone, but the single player menu music is usually low so I assumed this was the case again.
Anyway, I've added in music in the background to at least make this less boring. :P

Just a heads up that I will be unable to Kart next weekend, going to an anime convention. I MAY enter the MK8 200cc tournament, but we'll see. I'm also going to assume there will be no ONLINE Karts the following two weeks due to GFF Meet so I'll be missing you guys for the next 3 weeks.
Today's Kart Shenanigans, Parts 1 and 2 consist of just Q and myself with CHz, BZ (temporarily), Acer, and Tails joining in later. Epic Accidental Red Shell Cancel

Wanted to take a moment to thank you all. All this time of playing Kart with you guys really helped.
I did end up entering the 200cc Mario Kart 8 tournament at the anime con this past weekend and finished in 2nd overall in a bracket of around 40 entries. How they did this was 3-4 players played at a time in each round, and the top 2 human player finishers advanced to the next round (which worked well in my favor). 1st round - Banana Cup 2nd round - Lightning Cup Quarterfinals - Shell Cup Semifinals - Leaf Cup Finals - Special Cup I'm hoping I can find the video footage of the Finals because it was insanely tight. I was watching some of the other rounds trying to learn something, and I actually did in one of the rounds from one of the female competitors. This allowed me to change my bike customization to help me have a better chance. The female competitor I learned from actually ended up winning it all, which got her a free badge for next year's con. My runner up trophy/prize:

There actually was Kart yesterday between myself, Qwark, Chz, and shade. Electrodome became the new Music Park, being played a total 4 times. Because of that, I thought it fitting to race every Rainbow Road once.

It took a new system and a re-release of this game, but my Favorite Course IS FINALLY CORRECT.
