That's a very translated version of Tales of Eternia, though. There's this batch of countries called Europe, see.

The second level boss and the majority of the last level are the most captivating aspects I found in Rez.
Hit ratio has nothing to do with the endings.
You get the different endings based on your performance in the last boss battle. You get the worst ending ("She still lies trapped within the system") if you defeat the boss having gotten hit. You get the second ending ("She is freed, but you still don't know the whole truth") if you get hit during the boss fight, but manage to recover back to the final form. You get the best ending by defeating the boss and not getting hit once.

Trust me, hit ratio has nothing to do with it, no matter what you read on message boards. I've gotten the best ending plenty of times and I don't have a 98% hit ratio for Area 5.

Also Area 4 boss is superior.

Kinda like Zelda on SNES, we'd yell loudly at eachother suggestions on where to go next.

I've never even heard of the Ka-Kar-Keys-Ki game before, but it has Sage's Creations logo on the cover and they made Devilish, so I guess it'll be pretty rad!
Ahaha, gotta love those awful covers. Story of Thor had such a vibrant visual style and the cover is all MYSTERIOUS PRINCE OF PERSIA SILHOUETTE FOR NO GOOD REASON.
Phantasy Star III, though Almost as great as old Mega Man covers. Generations of Doom. MULTIPLE GENERATIONS OF DOOM. And stairs with robots!

But to balance out, Mega Drive's Disney games had the coolest covers. Even if Donald was standing/walking/holding this particular gun very strangely, it was still a cool cover and I wanted to play it so much when I was a kid.

As for my purchases, we recently visited a further away city on vacation and I stopped by a local gameshop there. I found a PAL copy of Bangai-O, something I didn't even know existed.

Nabbed that sucker right up. They also had a JPN Ikaruga there, but it seemed in bad condition and was pretty overpriced so I didn't buy it. Never had seen a DC Ikaruga that up close before, though.

Right, so on Friday I bought myself an Xbox.

A supermarket opened a new store over at Vuosaari and were selling Xboxes for €69, so I went by there this morning and bought one. They weren't kidding about size and mass, the thing weighed a ton with the box. I had to carry it around all day, from 11AM till 10PM when I finally got home from work.

I stopped by Savepoint to pick up the ICO OST they had gotten me, and bought myself Halo and Splinter Cell (for €5). Then at work, a work mate of mine mentioned they had a bunch of old Edge magazines (as we were discussing this one PC Engine article they had years back) and upon digging them out, we discovered a bunch of fancy guidebooks.

There was one for ICO and three copies of the Metal Gear Solid official strategy guide. I whined about what a waste it was to keep them there till they finally let me have one of the MGS books.

I've only gotten inside the Truth and Reconciliation, but Halo is amazing so far.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Pretty much. Again, you didn't purchase it, so your post isn't that relative to the subject at hand. You will notice there aren't people posting "So I borrowed this game.." nor "So I rented this game.." here either. It's like going to a thread discussing platformers and talking about RPGs.

That said, this still isn't a listing thread. If someone's post consists of nothing else than saying "I bought _____", I will delete it. People are encouraged to elaborate on their purchases (even if it's just a little). If none of the posts do, then the thread is as useless as the "what's your favorite.." threads you speak of.

I'm surprised you're so clueless about products you yourself are selling at whatever store you work these days. There's multiple versions of the PS2 slim, the 75001 being one of the later ones. That's not a list of games that don't work on the slim PS2, it's a list of games that have compatibility issues with the model in general.

If you want hilarious, consider Jak X. Right after release, a bug was discovered in the game which prevented the auto-save feature from working while playing on the 75001 (worked fine on the older slim PS2s). You had to play without a memory card (cause there was no option to switch off autop-save) and when you wanted to save, you had to exit to the title screen and save manually. Now the hilarious part was that Jak X came bundled with the 75001.

So unless your PS2 slim is a 75001 (as opposed to something like 70001), then the part about Lunar 2 is not bullshit at all and you just talked out of your ass.

Deni, you might wanna try it out before purchase, but if the silver ones are 77001 then they might have fixed some of the issues.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Besides finally softmodding my Xbox, I've done some shopping lately.

I bought Dreamfall, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Halo 2 CE for Xbox, as well as ordered Final Fantasy XII from dvdboxoffice.com. I figured I'm not up to waiting for the PAL release that's coming like 2009, and I'm not about to put up with the typically terrible PAL conversion Square tends to do, so the second I found out dvdboxoffice uses Verified by Visa, I placed my order (along with an order for Summon Night 1, but that's out of stock, probably permanently ;_;).

It finally arrived on Friday, along with something else I'd won at a finnish internet auction. Yes, that black box there is a modded Saturn, I finally have one. Now I have three Saturns in total

Came with an Action Replay cart, two original controllers (finally none of that spoon shit) and the seller said he'd include "a few" copied games for testing purposes. Well, in the package was this ridiculously huge CD wallet with probably a good 30 games, including Radiant Silvergun, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Dragon Force and Burning Rangers, among others.

sup ronz~

It's not a very Limited Edition though, it's just the original European release of Wind Waker. Everyone was told there would later be a "normal" release of it, but that only surfaced very close to when the Player's Choice rerelease came around.

Yeah, for who knows what price. Sending you money is a tad different than paying through a Verified by Visa service too. I swore myself to never go back to Paypal crap after the previous disaster.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

No, that's harsh, thinking I'd think that of you >:(

Like I told you at the time when you asked, I didn't have the money, nor the means to get it to you.

And by Paypal disaster I'm referring to this incident you might remember.

Yeah, that one. I tried to order a copy from dvdboxoffice, but they don't seem to be getting any new shipment of it for a while (which made think it's extinct, but apparently not). They do have the second one in stock, but I figured I'd play them in order.

If you can find it cheap enough for you, I'll gladly send you my DGN. It's the recent European release, so the cover is different, but the game/UMD is the exact same one.

lawl, I have this same issue of Edge, only minus the funky bag. Maybe it's just the bag here or something, who knows.

Either way, this was their 10th anniversary issue and they made ten different covers for it, all related to some more or less classic, be it Street Fighter 2, Pokemon or Pilotwings. My subscription brought me the Vib Ribbon cover~

It was a great issue, so maybe you should. The article on the magazine's "perfect" 10 score was especially interesting, as was the Ten Top tens piece and the look into score wars and Twin Galaxies.

Great. Another book I'll miss out on then. I suppose I have no chance of acquiring just the book somewhere relatively cheap either.

EDIT:
Though I see it's for the Wii version and is exclusively game advice, so perhaps I'm not missing out that much after all.

As shameful as it is to admit (being one of the Ace Combat Era pilots), I've never played a single game in the series. I keep meaning to get one so I can try it out, but so far I haven't done it yet. I'm sure once I do this game will get added to the list, but I still can't see buying the system (at the current price, anyway) for just these few games.
I apologize on Skills' behalf for him botching up URLs like the dunce he is. He meant to image link this

Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Loco Roco is pretty awesome, but after the first world, it just repeats the same stages and it can get pretty dull. The music and visual design is marvelous and the jumping is still fun, but I found myself wishing it'd end a few stages before I finished it. After that I didn't feel like going back to get 100% in each level.

Chicago Typewriter was fun for the first ten minutes and then you realize it removes most of the excitement from the game. You just arrived to an area, spray for a few minutes, move on.

Now the Hand Cannon, that was a massive hassle to get, but very much worth it once it's fully upgraded. A wonderful piece of kit, it is.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
