Wait, where's it say Meryl is part of Philanthropy? It seemed to me like she was part of some other group now, maybe even an opposing mercenary force.
If she really is part of Philanthropy, I am far more interested than I was ten minutes ago. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Seriously, am I the only one who isn't convinced Meryl is in Philanthropy? There's nothing to indicate any connection between her and the group. It was already obvious Snake was done with her by MGS2 and what she says in the trailer just felt to me like she was talking about some other group. (and no Mobius One, I don't mean/think she meant the group is literally named FOXHOUND, but there can still be another group regardless) How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
My point was that she's not there as a part of Snake's troupe. What she says in japanese (wareware wa etc) isn't something you use when talking to a person (Snake) about their own group. But maybe that's just me. Most of the dialogue and especially translation sounds so awkward. No one says something like "The onus is ours", least of all someone like Otacon. EDIT: And no, it's obviously far more likely to me that she's precisely not a part of Philanthropy. You think I'm disagreeing with you just for the sake of it? =/ The ending of MGS was not left ambiguous in MGS2, it was simply not cleared at all. Snake was hooked up with Otacon, indicating the "bad" ending, yet Meryl was admittedly alive, indicating the good ending. Nastacha's book (available for reading from the start, I read it even before starting the game despite having finished MGS1) in the game said Meryl survived, and Snake said he was through with tomboys, when asked why he wasn't with her anymore. Or they aren't really optimising their compression as well as they could be, since a good 90% of american market won't care for anything other than an english dub.
I too am disappointed they won't be including optional original audio tracks. If the jap release had optional english text, this wouldn't have been an issue, but like usual with MGS games, it doesn't. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
To spare you of the agony, Eurogamer's review was perfectly positive. They praised the game. It was so reasonable in fact that it raised my interest for the game (which have till now been around the amount of interest I have for a new Barbie game on the DS). They simply show rational thought and acknowledge their review scores are between 1 and 10, not 9.4 and 9.9. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |

![]() So the charm of this place was gaming music rips? What about the interesting stimulating conversationg about Metal Gear Solid 4 among fellow Metal Gear Solid 4 fans?! No wonder blah is spinning in his gra- oh. EDIT: A few corrections. Foul words are not against rules (because this is not gamefaqs and wetakeprideinbeingdifferentfrom gamefaqs and it really matters) and people are not banned in order to hopefully deeply insult them. It is to keep that person from pestering others. Do you think they lock up criminals just to make them pissed off? Did I just compare banned member to criminals maybe i didnt What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]()

So now Famitsu has given Cooking Guide 40/40.
Finally we Cooking Guide fans can rest assured that we are playing the best possible game................. Not that people didn't call foul when the same magazine gave the same score to Nintendogs, FFXII and Smash Brawl. But this time it should be ok! Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
As for the disc, it's probably regular PAL release that's used all around Europe as there is also the BBFC rating as well as the german. Gotta love usk. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
![]() o helo in before shitstorm ::none because no one finds the thread~:: This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
Here's the universal rule of metal gear: no one who should die actually does. Only the likeable characters get killed off.
And no, I doubt I'll even start the game till I'm finished with Experience 112. Both of my PS3s are on loan at friends, so I pined a debug from work so that I can play when I want to. I already installed it, so everything ready and all. Just need to plug the console in of course. Also I wish I had a Dual Shock for this but lol SCEE. And yes, there is an 8 minute install at the start of the game where you watch Snake smoke and little notes and health warnings appear on the screen. Once you clear a chapter, the game will install the next chapter, and wipe the previous one. Meaning if you want to play a previous save, from a previous chapter, you need to reinstall that chapter, over the current one, before you can play. I imagine this is the detail Konami didn't want magazines to talk about too much. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |

But as I said, holding out itself isn't that extreme. I'm not playing GTA4 before I'm done with the previous 3d ones and so far I've finished 3 and Vice City (both just recently). FELIPE NO ![]() |
Not to mention the games (GTA) make all kinds of references to each other and you get so much more out of them. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
