How the hell does someone simply post bail on someone who raped an 8-year old? Is it because he was 18 or because it was a family member? Why would they just let him out?

No, I don't mean "why would the mother post bail on such monster blaurgh", I meant how does a rapist get out of jail after 12 hours with merely a bail?
