Very, very reminiscent of the DMC series but it also seems to work very well here.
Kamiya created DMC, so the similarity shouldn't be surprising.

YouTube Video

Aw yeah.

Also, regarding the 360 demo, apparently you can burn it to a DVD-R, put it in and launch it from the games library, no modding or anything. I'm downloading it right now just to try it out, so I don't know for certain.

I played the PS3 demo at work today and it looked pretty good. At the time I had nothing to compare to though, but on its own it looked good.

I'm getting the 360 version, but it was nice seeing it didn't look like poo like the PS3 orange box did.

How ya doing, buddy?

Looks like they removed it. I managed to download it before that and the demo works fine. Even picks english subtitles from the system language instead of forcing it in japanese.

As far as I understood, the demo is different on 360 and PS3. I didn't play the whole demo on PS3, so I don't know where it started and ended, but from what I read about the easter eggs, the 360 demo has an additional level at the start?

EDIT:
Reupped, but in 8 parts.

Latest issue of EDGE has a review and they gave it a 10/10. Yowza! =o

I was told Sega plans on "fixing" the PS3 version and that the Europe release would get a soundtrack with it, but that could be wishful thinking until I see a proper confirmation. I'm going to buy the 360 version anyway, but if more people'll buy the PS3 version if it's improved, as opposed to not buying the game at all out of some stupid protest, all the better.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Did either of you play the PS3 demo? I've been playing the 360 one for a couple weeks now, but I heard the PS3 version of the game was suffering pretty bad technical problems.
Worse textures, somewhat less details, but mostly the problem was the lower framerate. 360 version runs at 60fps, while PS3 seems locked around 25-30.

It still looks good, just not as smooth as the 360 version, as the animation is bee-yoo-tiful.

The very suggestion that someone would buy Bayonetta knowing very little of it makes my head dizzy. Bayonetta is hardly bought even by people who are really interested in it, much less people who know nothing about it, it's the last game to appeal to someone who cares about hot and trendy.

This often happens when the original developer makes a game, and then a second group ports to another platform. Valve handled the PC and 360 versions of Orange Box, while EA handled the PS3 port. Same way, Platinum did the 360 version of Bayonetta and Sega handled the port. Rumors say the team was given instructions on how to do it, as if they didn't actually know how themselves. Then again rumors were adamant Sega was fixing the PS3 port for Europe, so hey.

I don't see the problem with the QTEs, you're not honestly expecting to get platinums the first time around. You'll remember the QTEs on later plays anyway.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yes, absolutely, I too was bothered by the QTEs suddenly popping up, unexpected. I only got a few of them on my first time. On the second try, it was ok. But then, that has absolutely nothing to do with the grading system.
