The games have websites with online rulebooks if you want to play online. If you plan on playing with actually cards, the best way is to ask the store owner, or another player, to show you how the game works.

That honestly depends on what type of crowd you like being around. You see, for the most part, the Yu-gi-oh! players think the Magic players are elitest assholes. The Magic players think the Yu-gi-oh! players are brain-dead fucktards and n00bs. And I think that has to do with the general age-groups and attitudes each group has.
