Spoiler:
Second:When he was writing down the names, he said "I don't see any harm in names"...but he knows full well that there is a lot of harm in it.

At this point its common belief that Kira needs a name and face to kill. Penbar parhaps didn't think Kira could obtain thier faces since that information is highly secured? Plus, he had no choice but to follow whatever Kira was saying otherwise he thought Naomi would have been killed.

Third: how did the FBI agent have internet access under ground?

I guess since he's an FBI agent, he probably has access to sophisticated technology. But thats too nitpicky of a question, I mean; if you have death gods and books that you can kill people with, anything is possible :P

that makes more sense, grey. But thats an odd rule that has quite the loophole..so it doesn't really matter WHAT you write down in the DN, it'll only really go by whatever you're thinking?

Well, we need some light scenes. Plus it was quite amusing seeing the scene with Light in badass/psychopath mode suddenly switch over to Misa's cute face.

The anime OST is now out, you can grab it from any nearby torrent. I'm in the process of uploading it onto sendspace now, so watch out for that. This is an excellent OST, by the way--I love how it combines intense choral music with techno beats and solo string peices.

EDIT: DEATH NOTE OST - 320 kbps (Zipped & Album Scans included)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

how long do you think it'll take for them to start airing it? And I don't know a whole lot about Viz...are they a pretty good anime licencing company? (censorship will piss off a lot of fans..)

The sucky part is now instead of being able to anticipate episode 13 we have to go all the way back and wait on episode 1 =/

I've been told Animanda will continue subbing, they release around the next monday/tuesday after the episode has aired.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I've watched ANFS's 13 and WB's 14, and I think both don't even get close to LE's quality of subtitles. It's bearable, but sometimes I had to read sentences twice to figure out what they were trying to say. There are lots of cases with bad choices of words.
ANFS is absolutely fucking awful, STAY AWAY. WB is very good though, I didn't find any instances of incorrect grammar/spelling or awkward wording. I tried out some others but thier quality was...average.

I would stick with DG but I have no clue as to what thier release schedule is.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Anyone know if an instrumental or karaoke version of 'the WORLD' and 'Alumina' exist? And possibly where I could find it?

Animanda is good. Definately not up there with Death God, Live-Evil or Toriyama World, but they are decent enough. Thier release schedule is every Monday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbRkmBcVWlc - 2nd Opening : Seeing a bunch of Raito Yagami Heads made me lmao. stupid but funny

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDtUZ0_MiWA - 2nd Ending.
You can find a HQ version of the OP here

Song choice is bad. Really bad. The ED is not as bad since its less screamo and a little more melodic, but still, WTF? If they wanted to do heavy metal, they still could have looked for a more fitting song. although I liked the buildup verse when light is walking up the stairs with all those other people. sue me.

The animation on the other hand is insane...in a good way, since Death Note is insane in itself. I really like it, but the neon green/yellow/purple color combination for a lot of the shots looks downright ugly and pisses me off. What, the developers were on acid?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The second anime OST was recently released, MU/torrent and mp3/FLAC links all here =)

I'm gonna have to jump the 'Hated it but its growing on me' bandwagon regarding the OP, but it's still really amateurish. I felt the same with the first OP and ED--they were good, but not stellar. The series is really lacking in the music department (there are some really good tunes on the OST but usually 1 or 2 get overplayed throughout the series =/)

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Ahh, I've only been DLing Animanda's subs, but they haven't gotten around to releasing anything past 23. Which of the remaining subbers are good? >_> I want to waaaaatch.
I'm sticking with Animanda since they provide a quality translation on par with Live-Evil; kuro-hana is FAST (They release a sub the same day the raw becomes available..) but the translation is really messed up, typos and all. If it helps, Animanda released both episodes 24 and 25 today.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

did you watch the raw version? So far Rubiera are only a few hours from getting it done...

EDIT: oh, nevermind. They have it up now.

Now i have to see this subbed so I know wtf was going on in the last few mins.
see the link in my above post, Rubiera has it done in good video/sub quality.

episode 37:
To answer your question, no, I dont think he had Mikami written down. He just used Mikami, like he used everybody else...which is why he shows no emotion when Mikami dies. You also have to remember that Light hit rock bottom there, too.

Oh, and can someone explain Mello's involvement in the whole thing? How did he save Near and help break the case? Cal me an idiot but I found it was a bit unclear =/

thanks black100. That makes a lot of sense.

episode 37:
Yeah, they changed things up a bit..apparently the manga ending had it so Light was screaming like a complete baby and begging Ryuk to save him, but I kind of like the anime version..it's much more sympathetic to his character; especially whe he sees his past self and the man he's now become. Ryuk's final lines were also much cooler. "We killed some boredom, didn't we?...it was fun while it lasted" or something like that. From what I hear, the manga showcases him as a whiny bitch, but the anime showed him more as a stubborn, pathetic fool. Poetic justice at its finest.

Although I did read up on one change that I wish they would have kept in, and thats when Mikami says "You...you are not god!" But if they did, it wouldn't make much sense for him to kill himself later on. Still, it was cool on having the blind follower call out on how fake Kira is.

As for nitpicks at the anime itself, Near's speech about Kira being a mass murder instead of justice was also kind of bleh, it could have been handled much better if they talked about his corruption instead. I also ifnd the deus ex machina kind of ridiculous...Giovanni made an exact carbon copy of Mikami's death note in one night?

Oh, and thanks for uploading the third OST, i've been waiting for it for quite a while. Unfortunately, a lot of themes are recycled over and over again with minimal changes--both from the previous albums and from the tracks within that album (Near's themes, Light's themes..). Kind of a disappointment, but there are some stellar tracks on there (Mikami's Concertino, Coda~Death Note, Mello no Theme (IMO), etc.).

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
