Image Burning Failing?? Odd....

Okay,

-I use Nero 6.1 something + Sonic and both ALWAYS worked before 3 days ago
-Data DVD/CD, Audio CDs work fine and burn fine! I even had 2 MB only left on the DVD once and it still burned perfectly

-I tried 4 DIFFERENT images to burn - so I know the file isn't corrupt (have over 8 broken DVDs)

Okay, so I image burn (.iso) with Sonic and it's working fine until half way and then it stops saying some "error"... I burn the same project with Nero and it's "successfull" until I test the DVD and it doesn't work on either computers, DVD Player or PS2 - but ONE did work but it wouldn't load ("loading" but it's "loading" forever)

Any ideas what may be wrong? I don't think I installed anything odd over the past 3 days....

EDITING: BTW I have winxp, and using DVD-R Maxwell and I burned... LOTS before and they always worked

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I don't have alcohol... but apparently the data is being written on there... it EXISTS there... but it's just not right!

Windows sees the data (when I explore the DVD), but my DVD/PS2 doesn't and it normally always does- the "image" isn't working....

And I mentioned once that my DVD read only ONE of the files but it kept loading and loading and loading and never even finished for 30 min (I let it go on while I watched something)... I'm not exactly new to burning... I've image burned LOTS of DVDs before... so it's confusing...

That's the point there is no error it just won't work

Nero = successfull burning
and Sonic = error writing disk (can't get exact line but it was this with no indication)

Pop in PS2 = the red screen "not ps2 disc"
Pop in DVD = "No Title" when I press play

Though when I pop the DVD in the computer, it won't start up like an image DVD should... instead you have to "explore/open" the DVD content and you'll find the files in there

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Under Application Error there's a whole bunch of errors but it doesn't distinguish what.... the only thing I see is Application Error + Application Hang (no names, nothing next to the error)... and under Category there's None and 101

For system there are some variations...

But still if it showed that it "burned successfully" would it still record under some?

Okay tried with DVD Decryptor to burn it... this is what I got

Hmmm k.... it's at default now and I did replace Decryptor with ImgBurn.... 2 questions now

1- I never had AnyDVD on, but I do have DVD43- should I keep or get rid of that

2- Since you seem to know lots about this... I've been meaning to ask... but I got lots of "PAL" (europe) Region Images, is there a way to change them to US so I can use them on my DVD rather than PS2?

BTW sry this all may seem like "duh" to you... I'm somewhat a newbie... just follow instructions and learn as I go >.<

I was speaking idiomatically.

Ah, question though....

Remember how I told you about the data being burned but not as an image...

Okay I burned a PS2 game (the times it failed that is) and the files were burned on the DVD (they exist)....

So is it possible to rip that of and re-burn it as an image? (since making a copy DVD probably won't work)

FELIPE NO

Well how do I do it?

I dun wanna just press on "copy DVD"... once i had a DVD that kept lagging on my PS2, then I just copied it directly and it worked perfectly...

But this one isn't even read by my PS2 (so it won't be wise to just copy it).... so I probably wanna rip it first... but I have no clue how to rip it first then burn it as an image

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Well this is what I when I explore the DVD (it's a ps2 game)... not sure if it's missing a file... looks like there's stuff written here:
http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/8391/untitledyo4.jpg

Another thing I am using ImgBurn (instead of DVD Decryptor)... so I have no clue how to verify/rip or any of that sort... any help would be appreciated

That's the thing when I click on verify I get the following

FILELIST.BIN
E419C51B FOLDER (it's a folder)

When I double click on filelist.bin I get a Invalid of unsupported image file format

When I open up the folder I get:IOPRP.IMG with the same error

Does that mean it's invalid then?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Or do you think the program (by use of some mystic force) knows what you wanted to have one your disc?
WELL, WELL... with DVD Decryptor I would verify a DVD by itself! And since ImgBurn is made by the same people and has almost the same functions I imagined it would do the same

Then you delete the burned data and two weeks later you put the discs in the drive and voila -> no data, empty optical media and the erased data is not recoverable because you already downloaded new stuff on the same drive.
Well normally all I do is re-insert the DVD in the computer and if there's data I assume the burn worked (which always has before) and especially when Nero gives the "successfull" burning sign

Simple, just redownload the full 4.35GB file again <.<
