Not to bitch since 50 degrees to me is freezing cold but when I lived in an apartment with a shitty heater that cost 60$ a month to operate (and I live by myself in a 1 bedroom then), I had to decide whether to eat or possibly freeze in a fetal position. Some nights I caved and basked in the warm glow, only to eat bread and nutella for days after.
Now I live in a place with low ceilings so I can heat a room with dinky space heater from the 70s. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
