Freshman year of high school I had a nut PE teacher who would make us run endless miles for 2 hours in the Southern California heat. One day I was feeling particularly nasty after an especially grueling session so I went to the nurse's office where I proceeded to black out just as I opened the door to her office. She caught me, dragged me to a cot and spent the next hour having a loud conversation with her officemate while I existed in a state of limbo. I could hear everything they were saying but couldn't move or say anything, it was the weirdest thing. "These miles are killing the kids!" Jam it back in, in the dark. |
