Your first "non-romantic" kiss?

Maybe it's just me but I never understood the whole kids kissing each other thing. But then again I was raised by parents who never casually kissed each other in public and never hugged me until I was old enough to demand them.

But when I was a kid I played doctor with one of my mom's friend's son and all I remember is him jabbing me really hard with the fake syringe. Almost as if he really wanted to pierce the skin and draw out some blood. Other than that, we didn't get naked in blanket burritos or explore each other's nether regions.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

That's totally where I'm coming from. To this day, my parents do not show each other physical affection, even just around me. The whole "casual affection" thing was never even a factor in my life, and I too had to follow them around DEMANDING hugs.

To this day, I'm still pretty shy about public affection. And by "shy," I mean, "I've never showed it before."

I'm probably way too affectionate because I over compensate for the lack of casual love in my childhood. In actuality, I have an easier time showing physical affection rather than real love (but that's another thread)
