You have a poor grasp on what the word "challenging" means.

JRPGs, as a genre, are not known for their challenge. FFT is an exception in some ways but this is hardly relevant: most of us in this thread have probably surpassed what gimmicky challenge FFT does have to offer. However, doing something over and over is not "challenging" so much as it is "deranged". Playing FFT for the 10th time isn't more challenging than it was the first time; if anything it'll be less challenging, and by iteration 2000 it'll be about as challenging as trimming your nails. That's not skill, it's not challenge, it's OCD.

You might say that someone who does something like that is "challenged" but this is decontextualizing

Well, that's just it. It's a fucking silly claim, sure, but that's all it is. Busting out ZE ARITHMETICS OF PWNED is bringing a gun to a slap fight. EXAMINE: THESE SPREADSHEETS AND POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS PROVE WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT YOU TOTALLY DID NOT PLAY THAT GAME AS MUCH AS YOU SAID.
