But anyway I have kind of obviously stopped making cards for GFF members mostly because um I recognize about twelve of you nowadays

BUT I DID FIND AN EVEN NERDLIER THING TO DO

Those of who have been playing Magic for a while may be aware of WoTC's Reserve List. This is essentially a list of cards which they promise to never ever ever reprint, basically as a way to pander to collector whores. This means that a lot of fun older cards (and, ok, some shitty ones) will never see the new frames or be issued decent art (you heard me, Drew Tucker).

As such, I have taken it on myself to "update" these old-ass cards to modern templating standards and (where appropriate) issue them new artwork (where the original artwork is absurdly shitty or else unavailable in a decent quality for reprinting. Cards with shitty or no flavor text also profit, when possible.

These cards are provided in stupid-high quality for use as image substitutes in a CCG engine like OCTGN, or you know, absolutely anything EXCEPT printing them out because that would be WRONG. For true dorks images twice this size are available on request. Oh also I totally didn't ask permission to use any of this art so PLEASE DON'T NARC ON ME SNITCHES GET STITCHES

The end goal is to update the complete Reserve List (571 cards); so far I'm about halfway there. However, if any other older card is desired for a facelift feel free to ask; I'm not collecting all this lame-ass sword/sorcery art for my health. After that, (in the far-flung future) I'll probably do Time Spiral's "timeshifted" cards up right the way they should have been done in the first place. HEY GUYS REMEMBER HOW THESE FRAMES WERE DUBBED INFERIOR AND WERE THROWN OUT? NOW THEY'RE BACK! IN TOURNAMENT-LEGAL FORM!

By no means did I want to imply that Magic: The Gamingforce was SUPER CANCELLED FOREVER, I just don't really have the level of presence anymore that would be necessary to contribute much to it, aside from a few oldbies that still haven't had their due. This is just, I guess, an additional thing to help keep the thread alive, and allows more participation from folks who just want to do a fancy art thing without the hassle of mechanics.

Unfortunately Quinton Hoover's homepage is on AOL of all things and is riddled with broken links so finding a decent-quality original Preacher is unlikely. But hope still lives while I ETC ETC

Dekoa: While the idea of GFF-made art on GFF-made cards about GFFers is a good one, there is a kind of style guide that needs to be adhered to. Anime-style art is not within the style guide.

So yeah since Starman helpfully explained how to make a patch for all this goofy crap, I need anyone else who ever made cards for this thing to reupload their work (sorry Skex, by the time I noticed your link it was dead)

We'll probably never recover the bulk of Vio or Tal's work, pity
