Ok look I'm not going to say Zerg isn't fun to pick on but it's going to suck for Skex and Garr when their PCs die due to some people not pulling their weight. After 4 rounds Gordok has done more damage to himself and his allies than he has to the enemies.

Do I really have to make it a rule to not deliberately attack your own allies? Do people seriously have to be told that? Catching people in a burst when they're surrounded is one thing, but come the fuck on.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Killing players in Shadowrun isn't even challenging, though.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

NEVER DO THIS

Bob had a staff. In melee, he would whack things with this staff. It was less effective than casting a spell, but more effective than running away. We'll get you a spiked gauntlet or something, you can punch things. It'll be fun!

I am planning to put more traps in, it's just been hard to justify in this adventure since it's basically about pursuing people on the run from place to place. "They were here for 45 minutes and left behind this chute full of razorblades" strains plausibility.

I could have very easily killed Zerg that last turn if the Manglers had rolled better. They have a huge mechanical incentive in pressing the advantage that dazes give them, and so I'm going to look out for more combos like that.

I almost killed Zerg! It was the dice. The dice, I tell you

I was speaking idiomatically.

What, you thought that giant glowing yellow thing was just a neat lighting effect or —

I moved down to P-49 on my turn also.
Fixed.

I wish you guys would just do this stuff without consulting me about all the mechanical details in advance. I want to be surprised too

Oh, the abject failure of random bullshit plans will be glorious. You got it boss.
Shit, man, do you think knkwzrd caved a wall in on a dragon because he asked me about the mechanical viability of such an act? Fuck no, he did it because it made sense and it was awesome.

Anybody who doesn't want their character to go and take a nap, speak now (and by now I mean like in the next day or so).

Zephyrin, Hawkeye, some information about your characters would be pretty great right about now since REDACTED

Zerg stop Googling random words until you figure out what adventure I'm running

I'm on to you

Do you want another rambling endless mess like Dungeon of Doom? Do you? BECAUSE I CAN DELIVER IT

Well I guess if you don't give a shit about civilians and the shops they might own and the supplies they might not be available to sell anymore, things turned out alright.

And also the thousands of gold in treasure on the bodies of the King's Players which is now firmly in the coffers of the Sea Lord instead of in G-Unit's pockets.

(Seriously those guys jangled when they walked)

This could have all been avoided, mind you, if they had simply cut the rope.

Unfortunately Zerg's habit of snooping out the adventure and warning people about the next encounter did not take into account GIANT BIRDS

Even I were prepared to roll back a 1000-word post, I already put Zeph and Hawk on notice and sticking them back on the burner for another month would be kind of a dick move at this point. Sorry, guys

So does anybody object to returning to the land of Unpredictable Megadungeons? Using it as a threat got the opposite of the response I expected, and the party has basically just wrecked all their surface cred in a hilarious one-two punch.

I have basically none of the normal adventure-transition stuff (shops, jobs, etc) prepared since the last gig ended kind of abruptly, so you're all goin' delving unless somebody has some specific issue with that.

edit: Silence implies consent, underground funtimes start monday barring any objection

Ah, I see. No, unless you want to adjust every single item by hand by free-sizing it, you'll just have to deal with things being off-grid until you get back to 50.

I know the tileset for the first room there looks a bit crap; I'm working on it. If any of you want to declare any purchases with your spare gold retroactive to being thrown in the hole, feel free. I'm not drawing up shop lists this time, just use the Builder and your common sense about what a town of 2000 would or wouldn't have available for sale.

Zerg, I regret to inform you that Changeling Disguise only allows you to assume the form of a humanoid race. Horse-Headed Minotaur People are not an existent race choice. However, you may drag your little red wagon into the pit with you, why the hell not.

Does "Martial - Garrison Child" mean my character was an army brat/grew up in a barracks?
More or less.

Yes, but Glenn isn't listening at the door so all he hears is the not-discernibly-Elven voice.

Well, it's nobody's fault really that automated edit notification is busted in the Basement for some reason.

Zerg don't edit your post to respond to things that happen after your post it causes time paradox

pang is super serious about time paradox
Events have to occur in some order. If that order is "in order of posting" this makes life easier for everyone

's all

It's the first Tuesday of the month, and that means it's time for the nerf bat!

Healer's Lore now only applies to powers that use surges!

Aid Another now carries a -1 penalty for failure, so there's an actual risk involved!

Mounts may now be Medium sized, if ridden by a small character.

Lightning Arrows no longer inflict Dazed status.

Zerg, there has also been a change to Throw and Stab that may impact your game.

Thump.

Just as a one-time courtesy I'll point out that Puyet has a power that lets his allies shift half their speed when he rolls initiative. I'd hate to see Glenn melted to sludge before his first combat turn.

DON'T ACTUALLY USE THAT POWER OR ANYTHING THOUGH, HAWK DEFINITELY DOESN'T WON'T NEED THAT SKIN LATER

Does this mean that now we roll 1d20 and add the relevant skill bonuses, instead of just rolling a simple 1d20?
As it turns out we should have been doing that the whole time.

Welp!

There's nowhere I can't reach.
