Yeah, there were a lot of bad decisions made on both sides I think, like my team basically circling the goddamn gas station about 40 times.
"Let's go back for that other kit!" "No, we need to keep mo—" "I'm going for it, cover me!" "FFFFFFF" Also I forgot to close my mapping program before I joined, so I was rocking an awesome 15-20 FPS most of the time There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
![]() Only decent snag I got all game, though, since as you say the tongue was buggy as fuck. I fired at you a good five times while you were held up at the warehouse just after the NM3 starting saferoom, and it just bounced off you over and over. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
Two things:
Are you playing on a multicore system, and if so, have you tried disabling multicore rendering in the game options? or, if that doesn't work— are you running an Nvidia card? The newest drivers have some problems with L4D since the latest patch, so it's recommended to roll back to 178.24. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
Apologies to anybody who tried to join our game tonight and got bounced. We were testing the "City Naniwa" custom campaign and (obviously) random joiners wouldn't have the files.
As for the campaign itself, I absolutely do not recommend it. It's a bland, miserable maze with absolutely no indication of where the fuck you're supposed to go. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
I'm perfectly fine with randomness. I'm just tired of being the one guy in every game that doesn't want to Form Voltron. I love this game but it's getting impossible to enjoy Versus when every other player insists on making every single crescendo event into a non-participatory totem pole. For fuck's sake Valve just turn on player collisions. Yes it will cause some griefing but when I literally cannot hit the enemy because they have collapsed into a waveform I am already being griefed thank you very much.
Although making it so only pills and no medkits appear outside of saferooms would do a lot for balance, it's a simple cvar and I wish more servers would use it. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

Yes, but by definition everyone here (except for the macfags) already has a computer, whereas not all of us has a 360.
So the financial burden for us to join you is much heavier than the other way around. ![]() And the PC version is like $20 cheaper on the Steam 4pack anyway so There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
A 20GB 360 is $250. We'll exclude the cost of your existing monitor, keyboard, speakers, internet connection and mouse and exclude the cost of your existing television for the comparison. Western Digital 80GB HD: $34 ASRock Micro ATX Mobo: $50 AMD Athlon 64 X2: $45 Crucial 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400): $22 EVGA 512-P2-N430-LR GeForce 7200GS 512MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card: $38 Rosewill MicroATX case: $25 $214. ![]() Now, I don't know the exact hardware specs of a 360 so if this is a significant step down in performance I can try again. ![]() Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
152 MB?
I would have a tough time finding an HD that small, yeah. Next time don't waste my time with an economic comparison if you're just going to fall back on your quasi-religious belief that a platform everyone uses every day is "dead". If you're all just lazy tards who can't figure out how to plug A into B, go nuts, but don't pretend it has something to do with your wallet. ATTENTION TOOLS: IF THE PC IS TOO HARD FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND, SPEAK UP PANG WILL TEACH YOU FIRST: HERE IS THE SHIFT KEY HOLD IT DOWN ALL THE TIME Additional Spam: Whether or not "developers" are shying away is kind of a separate issue from whether Valve is shying away (which they obviously aren't). We're discussing the best platform on which to play L4D, I don't much care where Epic releases their work. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]()

I was just responding to a hilariously false pretense of made-up expenses, Skills. I didn't ask Lei-Lei to bring his creepy-ass "a Dell scared my mother while she was pregnant with me" shit into this. I couldn't care less what system is "dominant", I was just demonstrating how the idea that a console is somehow a much cheaper solution to find a game of L4D is full of bullshit.
The Wii is outselling both platforms, I guess we all need to go out and buy one if we don't want to be left in 1998 I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
Yeah, Tanks are buggy as hell in Survival for some reason. Pointlessly climbing to the highest point and then climbing down again, hopping the same fence in both directions 40 times, standing in a windowframe and just spinning in place. I can only guess they didn't update the pathfinding for the adjusted level geometry and that's why we're seeing such irrational behavior.
16:00 is pretty goddamn good unless you're a deliberately exploiting goontard. I've seen scores of over an hour from people who know precisely how to cheap everything out. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
Yeah, the PC leaderboards apparently haven't appeared yet and judging from the idiocy that ladders always cause in any game I kind of hope they never do. The last thing I want in a pick-up game is to be ordered around by a bunch of aspie clanners trying to "improve their rank".

Rocks have a niche; they could certainly be more useful but they definitely have their place. You will never deal as much damage with rocks as you theoretically can deal with punches, but laying down suppressive fire in the right place can massively increase a tank's lifespawn in wide open battlefields.
Doing 30 or 40 damage over the course of a couple minutes (and it's not hard to buy this much time if you can find a chokepoint to block) beats the hell out of doing no damage over the course of 10 seconds because you're on fire and 99% of your flesh has been replaced with buckshot. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
I honestly don't understand how anyone can fail so hard at goddamn statistics collection.
My stats seem mostly accurate, but probably I only think that because none of them are especially exceptional. I wish it would track shots fired with the single pistol and the dual pistols separately, though. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
You need to set up a profile or something, because searching Steam Community isn't turning you up.
![]() There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
It's cool if you're too good for us, Daravon
It doesn't hurt our feelings or anything This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
But then I changed the Tank theme to Caramelldansen so it's pretty distinct over the general din. How ya doing, buddy? ![]()

Ridiculously long-distance pounces look nice but with the pounce damage capped at 25 all you'd really be doing is showboating and wasting time.
The video's more or less legit, but it's also completely pointless. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
I don't know how up-to-date the 360 is on patches but I don't think there's ever been a point where it wasn't a maximum of 25 damage. Frankly I think it's probably for the best; even bumping it up to 35 or so turns the game into Airborne Screeching Rapefest Forever.
To answer Mo0's question taking advantage of massive hunter pounces is pretty damn easy provided the survivors are in a pretty tight formation. That second or two of stun as they reel back is prime boomin' time. Why are you a terrible boomer, mo0 why Jam it back in, in the dark. |
