Mathematical! Sonic and Mario appearing together at last in the least fun genre of videogame that exists.

Well, this means that he's definitely showing up in SSBB... (sigh).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

This is good news!
Speak for yourself. Yuck.

I never once doubted that he would be in SSBB, I just... really don't think he should be.

And that genre is...

Olympic Simulation?
Try "Underwhelming, Excessive Minigame-fest".

There's nowhere I can't reach.

What if Nintendo and Sega got together and made a game where Sonic is trapped in Mario's universe and Mario is Trapped in Sonics Universe?
Ugh. The last thing I need to see is Mario with spiky golden hair fighting God with energy beams he fires from his hands. Sonic would get the sweet end of the deal there, not having to do anything but play golf and tennis and race go-karts all day...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Actually they have a lot of versatility with their characters. I can easily see each Mario character having a rival in the Sonic universe.

Sonic really needs to shave off much of his cast. Way too much impractical clutter to sell itself well to other game possibilites like this one. For something like this all he would need are the folks from SA1 (maybe 2 as well), and nothing more.

Mario - Sonic
Luigi - Tails
Peach - Amy
Yoshi - Knuckles
Bowser - Eggnuts
Wario - Shadow
Donkey Kong - Big
Hell, even Daisy - Rouge.

I can't picture anyone else having much use.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

No, Rouge vs. Birdo.

Tranny vs. Tranny.
I'm sorry, I'm not following.

You know if Wario's in there, then Waluigi is definitely going to be in there with him. As far as Mario sports games go, ever since Tennis for the N64 those two have been inseparable.
Waluigi is a completely useless character, not even made by the same guy that created Wario. As a result, he's never appeared in any of Wario's games, and as long as he keeps up that habit, I'm happy.

Logically, he'd have no place in this game at all if they're following the "every character has a rival" idea. Unfortunately, if Sega dominates production and ends up filling the game with their legions of useless characters, then Nintendo would have to follow suit and then we'd see tons of filler characters like Dry Bones, Hammer Brother, R.O.B., Birdo, Boo and Mr. Game and Watch.

The Mario enemies shouldn't at all be treated like main characters.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So basically this game should just be taken as an updated version of Track & Field.

Amazing how they still barely use the wiimote other than "WIGGLE IT AROUND AIMLESSLY TO DO SHIT". Oh it's almost like TAPPING BUTTONS furiously!!! Is this unique and groundbreaking gameplay or what?!!?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
