No, there's no stupid "stats" screen. You just make assumptions based on how the characters look, and nothing else.

Something tells me even if 3-D Sonic didn't suck you'd still try to have him burned at the stake.

That's exactly what I said, goddammit. I just said "there's no stats screen", I know there's still invisible coefficients and things, it's just that the absence of a stats screen means beginner players shouldn't really worry about them.

Zero Suit Samus isn't a "new" character. It's just a different playable "mode" for regular Samus.

I think they're going to do away with clone characters so Falco seems likely to disappear or be remade. Mewtwo will probably stay, though.

Even if we don't get that many non-nintendo characters there's still plenty of first-party ones I'd like to see. Little Mac, Dedede, Lip, Ridley... a revamped Ganondorf...

Of course I'd be overjoyed if X or Zero were in there.
