The very first MOH on PSX was good fun on its release, wasn't overly long or frustrating and had an amazing sound design. After that the bar was set high enough for WWII shooters on console and PC.
Never played MOH:Underground so can't comment on that.
Next was MOH:Allied Assault which was and still is a very impressive FPS. The intensity of war can truly be felt during the Omaha Beach level and still stands as one of the best levels in a FPS to this day. MOH:AA is one of my favourite shooters ever. The expansions, Spearhead especially, were good too but as is the case with expansions, too short.
A short while after that one came Frontline which had some good level design but it was mostly you against the Nazis, not realistic but intense nonetheless. And let's not forget the fantastic music playing in the background.
The latest PC incarnation is Pacific Assault, which I'm playing through again at the moment and it has some splendid gameplay, hard as nails but then you have the help of your squad mates (ok not a great help all the time but they're there assisting you in a kind of way). Love the whole Medic comes to the rescue when you're about to meet your maker.
Not exactly a MOH title but very similar in style and execution and developed by some former MOH guys, Call of Duty is probably the most realistic of all these games. Dozens of soldiers fighting alongside you in superbly detailed environments: especially the wartorn cities can be a bitch to fight through. Impressive game but way too hard at times (keeping the enemy from invading that house in the snow level (Russian?) was enough frustration for me... Sigh.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
