I write reviews for the school newspaper, and generally can be found working on music reviews...
To write these, I must know the entire cd like I know my hand... I must know the lyrics, the meaning of said lyrics, what was going on in the artists life when they wrote those lyrics - I have to know the music, I have to be able to critique the mixing and isolations...
By the time I'm finished with the review, I'm sick of the CD... So about a week... Then I'll be able to listen to it again usually in about 6 months...
I play bass and guitar, music is my life, I have music playing almost 24/7, and will spend money on a CD that I've only heard one song from - and due to my expanded media library, the constant music is not an issues until deadline...
Jam it back in, in the dark.
