Yeah, it should be the other way around. TVs small enough get lost in the lounge room, portable music players the size of a record player. Game Boy Macro with cinema sized screen and family sized pizza tray buttons comin' soon!

Hey guys what's going on in this thread. I like what I've seen of the DS Lite (secret: I've seen it in JPEG form), because I approve of fragments of the sun being shoved into the screens. I assume Nintendo will bundle it with New Super Mario Bros when it reaches these shores in 2009, which is the coolest, most fantastic, complex and catchy name for a new Super Mario Bros. game ever. "Did you play New Super Mario Bros?" "Which one?" "New Super Mario Bros!" "WHICH ONE?" And that's when I'll trade in my current DS with Hello Kitty stickers all over it.

This post is virtually worthless because nobody REALLY cares what others plan on doing in regards to anything but oh well.

Hey guys the battery back-up in my Nanostray cartridge is dead for no real reason other than being a poor quality cartridge perhaps and I can't really be bothered returning it because I imported it. Pretty good life story hey!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

There are no new features. =o It does everything the old DS did, it's just smaller with much better screens.

Oh snap, Australia gets the DS Lite before America. June 1st, $199.95 AUD (that's less than $200, what a steal!) But NSMB isn't due out till June 8. =(

IGN reveals what the American box art will look like so you don't buy a set of six large pots by mistake.

EB stores are apparently getting it in this afternoon. Knowing them, they'll start selling it straight away.

"Here's your shipment!"
"THANKS DELIVERY GUY DO YOU WANT TO BUY THEM ALL BACK? YOU CAN TRADE IN YOUR OLD DS FOR TWO DOLLARS IN-STORE CREDIT"

I wonder if they've fooled anybody by claiming the Brain Training demo is only given away with pre-orders like they did with the Metroid Hunters demo. But so far it looks like Myer ($188) and Toy's R Us ($190 with a free $20 off next purchase voucher thing) are the places to go if any Auzziezzz are planning on getting one this week.

Nintendo Australia never bothers to advertise anything though. Their last ad was ten hilarious seconds of low res MKDS footage blown up to full screen and some lady talking about God knows what. Probably waffle irons.

One of my mates bought one yesterday. Bloody hell it makes the original DS look like a freakin' Game Gear. The updated Brain Training demo that came with it still has problems with the Australian accent, though. ='D

Hay guys. In a typical Nintendo move, they've removed something. The little wrist strap is now sold separately, but this thing's pretty fucking awesome. It's charging in the other room now, but I gave it a SPIIIIN with some stuff. The clarity and the COLOUR is awesome. And no dead pixels, which is rad, because I had so much drama with the original DS. SO MUCH. Oh and the Brain Training demo has no option for left handed rejects such as myself, so it's kinda pointless.

I r smart today.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The buttons are fine, they're slightly bigger than the originals, but don't have the cool clicky feeling to them anymore. Same with the shoulder buttons. Dpad however, I dunno, I reckon it's worse. I haven't really spent much time with this thing yet (blol fifteen minutes or so), but it's smaller and .. slushy feeling. The directions sink into it more when you press them. I dunno if that sentence even made sense! Oh and the stylus is finally a decent, sensible size.

I just use one of those cloth things used for cleaning glasses. Cost a massive buck twenty, they work great on both DS and DS lite. And now that lite is all iPudding glossy shiny, it gets even more use. Fingerprints and crap EVERYWHERE.

The grid design's still being used, unless my DS lite is broken or something. You can easily see the difference between the two screens, especially on 2D games like Bomberman and Guilty Gear which use both as one big screen. The touch screen's sensitivity seems about the same to me, only thing now is it reacts to the borders of the screen. My old DS had like an invisible barrier or something all around.

Well, the UK and Europe are the only joints getting the black DS lite so far, at their launch later this month. Soooo maybe America will see it.. I dunno, probably during the Christmas holidays. 2009.

More text that was inserted at a later time goes here: Hey, Best Buy's giving away free copies of Brain Age with DS lite's today.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Gamespot doesn't like anything. Unless it's Tony Hawk 3! 10/10! Best game of this generation! Tony Hawk 3! I had to exchange my DS lite today, the touch screen got DOTS all over it outta nowhere, stuck pixels, EVERYWHERE. It was funky. I kept the replacement stylus, I'm such an Australian convict. NOW I HAVE THREE.

Yep, they just all exploded into action on Sunday. I was too lazy to go exchange it that day, and yesterday was a public holiday. For convicts!

I should have. Perhaps it warped into a different time period overnight and dinosaurs started chewing on it. Here I'll just skillfully edit this image I posted two pages back with what it was like;

Man, I probably should have kept the Brain Training demo, too. Then I'd have TWO OF THEM! The guy at the store didn't even open the box to make sure I'd put everything in there.

The lite I had to return yesterday had that clicking screen thing. Bottom right hand corner and everything. It didn't really bother me that much, but perhaps your touch screen will have a coloured dot outbreak soon! Or not.

Actually they probably aren't even using the grid design anymore. I think my original touch screen was just screwed so much from the beginning and I was too distracted by the WOW LOOK HOW BRIGHT IT IS. And I hardly used it aside from a few quick goes of Pac 'N Roll (this game is so annoying I would enjoy pegging it against a urinal). I don't think I pressed down with insane strength or anything. =]

Nah, the demo pack-in is only for Australia and New Zealand. I think Best Buy was the only place giving away the full version with Lite's in America, and that deal only lasted a few days.

EB has it listed at $35, but I guess you could find it for $30 in any other store. So like, you'd only be paying $10 more for the much better DS Lite route.
