Wow, that was quick. Apparently the team had contacted Nintendo ages ago requesting a dev kit and got no response, they start up a FANZ MAKE SOME NOISE thing and now they're set. This cannot be, online petitions never work.

We need some

in here!

Maybe they're aiming for the more mature market this time. Surprise anal sex mini-game confirmed! It'd work so well with the controller. =x

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

=o I'd set it to a five hundred degrees so as soon as a game loads you just see fire, and Mr. Resetti pleading for you to NOT save for once.

Also I think I must post this.

There's a lot of magical confusion about it now. Nintendo America says it'll be region free. But Nintendo Europe said it's not. =\

It's not like this is the first time Rayman's been a mini game collection. And I dunno, they haven't shown anything at all from the other console versions. The PC version seems to be the same as the Wii game using the mouse instead of the Wii controller. If they were making a full on platformer for PS2/Xbox/GC/3DO and it's due out soon you'd expect them to have shown it off by now.

Except GBA, it gets a neat 2D platformer.

I think Activision have a new low with Downhill Jam's box. It's like he's trying to shit, maybe as an attack?

That is so awesome. I still have some of my C64 tapes about, but the system itself died yeeears ago. Summer Games + Winter Games + Impossible Mission + Defender of the Crown = smiley (possibly the happy looking one!)

Oh God I love Activision. From the goons that released ports of Gun and Tony Hawk American Wasteland at the 360's launch with no graphical updates at all comes CALL OF DUTY 3 FOR WII. LOOKS SOOOOO GOOOOOD. Obviously Activision have done their very best with the N64 Expansion Pak here!

Update on the Commodore 64 VC thingy.

Quote:
Gamasutra has received a statement from System 3's Mark Cale on the deal: "System 3 are doing virtual console games for the Wii including Impossible Mission which will go live in December. Other titles include California Games and The Last Ninja."
Also other words are quoted below this sentence!

Quote:
"We are also supporting the Wii with retail boxed games and we have 3 titles available for launch. They are Gottlieb Pinball Classics, Super Fruit Fall and Puzzle Ball with Leaderboard and Tennis Masters to follow in January."
Wow some ports of extremely bad PS2 games! The Euro launch just got a whole lot more exciting!

It's likely it'll be the same worthless voucher book they gave away with 360 pre-orders. Great offers like 10% off a toaster, or 5% off any new release book which cost more at Myer than any other store anyway.

Oh yeah Wii for most pointless accessories ever. :]

The spine... notice how the whole thing is white, as well as the box!

Closeup of the little indicator icons on the box... they're just as slick and minimalist as the rest of it, but that confuses me. Does that mean the game uses 1 controller, or is it 1 player? The nunchuk thing I understand, but that controller thing is kind of confusing considering all of these games theoretically would be 4 player games.

All four of the ones we've gotten so far!
Awesome, thanks for that. <3 I have a boner for video game boxes and I don't know why.

Probably Rampage, no graphical update at all, no extra shit, it even uses the GameCube controller. But it's somehow more expensive. Fucking useless port ahoy!

More like Toys R Us' Wii pre-orders started back in June and they include a free game ontop of Wii Sports with the console. Ah haw haw haw.

Oh shi Sim City confirmed for the Virtual Console launch. Australia, at least.

There's been nothing but trouble with getting the GameCube component, and I'm not even sure you can get one here EU at all without ebay.
Now they will force the consumers to face the same problem all over again, what the hell?

They better have a solution for Europe this time around.
Maybe a third party will get some out into shops this time, ones that won't cost several zillion. =\

Time for box art update!

Dunno why they felt the need to zoom in so much for the American one. Why not GO UP HIS NOSE?

Wii games are $110 ($80 US) because $100 just wasn't enough! But yeah, Toys R Us is the best way to go. Nobody knows what the free game's gonna be yet though, might just be something really shit like Monster 4x4 or Barnyard but hey!

Augh, PAL version of Excite Truck's not due out till March next year now. Trauma Center doesn't seem like it's going to be released at all and Metal Slug is UNKNOWN. Good job going back on your word about no region locks Nintendo. Wii launch pretty much down the shitter for me. I suppose Zelda might be okay though. I guess.

Yep, still a launch title there!

I'm getting Wii Sports at launch how about you guys. Seriously considering Wii Play at launch, it comes with a Wii controller and it's only $10 more than the controller by itself anyway. Monkey Ball's a must. I'll probably get run over by the hype train and get Zelda too. Aside from that there's also whatever the free Toys R Us game is gonna be.

Then it's all shoulder shrugging from there!

Haha, I'll probably just trade it in at EB on launch day towards something else. Along with everyone else! They'll explode from everyone wanting to trade Open Season in. But yeah after Nintendo announced they'd be including Wii Sports, everyone was sorta thinking Toys R Us would just claim that as the free game.

And yep, Wii Play for PAL regions at launch! Excite Truck for America, Wario Ware for Japan! If only everywhere got all three of those at once. Silly Nintendo. ;_;

In a new interview with Game Informer, Perrin Kaplan revealed that component cables will not only be hitting online retail sites, but will actually launch in retail stores along with the Wii on November 19.
