hedwig and the angry inch
what a goddamn great movie. so, it's a musical, but it's not hokey. it's self aware in a way that lets it play with music, but it's also decidedly punk-rock inspired, so it's not any voice-accompanied-by-piano type music. also, it's also one of the smartest movies i've ever watched - it has as many layers as a good novel, which makes you (me) go back for more.

what can i say, but damn this movie makes me feel good
mean girls
ok, so this isn't exactly oscar-worthy acting, but the script is actually really pretty smart while maintaining a lot of dumb-yet-funny character.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
